I keep having false starts learning #python for data analysis. Every time I try to recreate some analysis I did in #rstats I get to a "pandas is like dplyr, but not as good" moment and switch back. I could really do with an "easy win" in Python that sells how useful it is, and that isn't just something that I can already easily do in #rstats. Does anyone have any suggestions? :thinking:

When using a validation set to assess model performance, people often think of it as a three-way split of the data: training set, validation set, and testing set. We have updated rsample to better match that mental model: you can now do that three-way split (instead of a sequence of two binary splits). The release post walks you through a short but full analysis from the new initial_validation_split() to last_fit(). #RStats

I've been hinting about some larger things going on at work, and that I have not been in a position to say anything untill all applications were approved. It is not approved and I can say:
