my forums are showing in this strange hierarchy.

Was there a recent change designed to do something like this in Frio? If so what are the groupings supposed to represent? They don't' seem related at all. @alfred @hypolite

    hypolite,

@fu @alfred How about Ctrl+F5, it should clear the CSS cache.

    Hello,

Whenever I try to access the settings of the forum I admin, I encounter this screen. Any ideas on why this is happening?

@petrescatraian Did you log in to your forum account through the delegate screen?

    hypolite,

@petrescatraian Thank you for the report, I'll look into it. It might have been to prevent a parent to mess the child account's settings.

I appreciate your help, autocorrect, but I absolutely did NOT intend to talk about Feodor Baggins.

I’m convinced that the less privilege you have, the more hyper aware you are of it.

    hypolite,

@ScribblingOn What makes you say that?

Spent hours cleaning the terrace with a high pressure washer (and got a sun burn on top). The uncovered damage is extensive. I mean we knew 10 years ago already that we’d need new planks soon but still. Damage is especially bad where flower pots used to be but some are simply because water has no way to go. Some holes are so bad I had to cover them up with boards.

Ah well. No rest for the wicket I guess.

    hypolite,

@bekopharm checks the definition of "wicket" to figure out if it's a pun or a Germanism 👀

Read a reply on a pop-culture tattoo picture: “I hope that’s not permanent, it’s going to look very silly in 10 years 🙁”

The way I see it, we all will look very silly in 10 years so might as well enjoy what we want now.

update: Mad Max: Fury Road vehicles are visually striking, pretty well-documented without access to the actual movie and based on real cars, which makes them ideal candidates for my style of design.

See, it’s too hard for me to create a model from scratch, thankfully I don’t have to since people have been creating models for the stock cars that were modified for use in the movie.

I then recreate the model in Studio based on the instructions that I purchase on Rebrickable for around $5, and I start altering the design to match the Mad Max look, not unlike the actual process the movie production had to go through.

Hopefully I should have tangible results to show in a few days when I receive the remaining parts I need to build the first two models I designed this way.

    hypolite,

@Gotterdammerung There’s already a pretty comprehensive model available for the Doof Wagon on BrickVault: www.brickvault.toys/products/t…

Although I’m not personally interested with this vehicle, I can vouch for its designer, I built 4 of his Mad Max models and they’re currently displayed in my living room!

    hypolite,

Update to the update: I've received my last package today, but the seller absolutely fumbled the order, with about 10 parts missing or the wrong mold or the wrong color. As a result I don't have all the parts I need to build either of the sets I designed. It's always a possibility ordering secondhand parts on the Internet but it's never fun when it happens.

Continuing on my never-ending journey into movies that sparked Internet memes, I watched Will Ferrell's Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004) that gave the "I'm not even mad, it's amazing" and "Boy, that escalated quickly" memes. Overall I didn't enjoy very much this ham-fisted attempt at tackling sexism in a professional context, and many celebrity cameos felt unnecessary, but I did laugh when Jack Black kicked Will Ferrell's dog in the San Diego Bay.

If nobody has coined this, I'm coining the term "Chipotle Choke"

That's the feeling you get when you walk into a street-food-style restaurant and immediately lose all ability to order food.

It's how I've managed to order a burger from Five Guys that was literally a piece of meat on a bun and nothing else. I had to scrounge for ketchup.

    Chipotle Choke. Pass it on.

    hypolite,

@silverwizard @craigmaloney Better not stutter and say "gimme a wedgie".
