I completely changed files and renamed them in modules and templates. no matter what the page kept coming up the same. It should have accessed the new php file according to routes.config.php. There is no way friendica should be accessing this file.
However apparently smarty3 keeps redirecting things to the old page style. Any idea what to do here?

@anubis2814 Without specifics about the file changed and what page you've been trying to access, I'm afraid there's little we can do to help you. If you have a diff page on a Git fronted, it would help a lot.

Recently, I moved from Spotify to Tidal to protest them signing Joe Rogan for another exclusive podcast deal.

The move went pretty well, Tidal isn’t exactly as convenient as Spotify but it was fine. Until they dropped support for their Roku app, which we use to listen to music in the living room.

Not wanting to crawl back to Spotify, I’ve now moved my family to Apple Music, until the next scandal, I suppose.

I may have mentioned this before, but my best friend consumes no news. Zero. Not from TV, radio, internet news sites, newspapers… she doesn’t use social media. The other day she asked who the Prime Minister is right now. I reminded her that this a basic piece of information medics check you can remember to see if you may have a brain injury. I don’t know if I’m appalled by or envious of her stance. It’s a conscious decision, and she says it brings her happiness

Sur notre chemin du week-end dernier, il y a eu :

  • une exploration de la Petite Ceinture

  • La rue du Printemps qui n'est pas loin de la rue de la Félicité

  • une fenêtre entrouverte sur de mystérieux dessous

  • un petit jardin caché au fond d'un immeuble (merci les peintres qui avaient laissé la porte ouverte ❤️)

En passant devant une fenêtre entrouverte d'un appartement au rez de chaussée, on peut distinguer dans la pénombre une grande culotte de femme en train de sécher, accrochée à un étendoir...
Photo d'une jardinière remplie de pensées bleues et violettes, posée sur le petit muret qui entoure un jardinet bien caché au fin fond d'une cour d'immeuble parisien. C'est très bucolique et apaisant. On peut voir un arrosoir au fond. Il y a plein de plantes grimpantes.

@kingu A barbell is a weight lighting instrument consisting of a long shaft with often interchangeable weights at either extremities. Definitely one of the strangest items on the list for me, I'd have expected this kind of conservative to value women who take care of their body. But then I guess barbells are probably too masculine in the fitness realm. Still, just knowing?

@me @kingu There are indeed people who believe in extremely rigid gendered roles, including where women are completely subservient to men. Unfortunately they still are the majority, as all monotheists religions promote this worldview.

Tonight I went to see a “Lion King Jr.” musical performance produced by the middle-schoolers of my kid’s public school, and it was impressive. Original costumes, scenery, lights, music, choreography, everything was well above my expectations.

It did reinforce my belief that American education prioritizes performing arts which leads to better outcomes when it comes to theater and cinema.

@jcfrog @dominique_rousset Si tu es sérieux à propos de ces chiffres, je rappelle que tous tes ascendants n'étaient pas en vie en même temps. Et oui, il y a forcément des cousins qui se sont mis ensemble, mais il est peu probable que ç'aient été des cousins au premier degré. Après tout, tous les humains sont des cousins.

@clacke Let’s see, off the top of my head:

  • Smartphones and Internet caused a sudden increase in teen girl malaise: Just like the sudden increase in reported transgenderism at around the same time, it is more likely Internet increased the accuracy of these reports by giving individuals more freedom to speak about it. I’ve known several depressed teen girls in my day, but they wouldn’t have opened about it on the Internet because it just didn’t exist yet. I’m aware about Instagram’s negative reinforcement loop, but I don’t believe it’s the main cause for an increase in reported depression.
  • Unsupervised group play is beneficial to learn conflict resolution: Unless you're short, fat, wear glasses, a girl, non-white, etc… Haidt has never been any of these, and it shows.
  • God-shaped hole: I don’t even want to know what that was about, I dropped from the video at that point.
  • “Anti-fragile” kids: Haidt is basing his ridiculous concept on his personal childhood, a white man raised in the 70’s to draw conclusions about a whole generation. What about all his pairs who didn’t make it, either physically or mentally, because parenting was absent or cruel at the time? The survivor bias is strong.

Between a wrong read of flawed data (because the collection method changed drastically in 2010) and an obvious personal experience bias, his books is mostly useless.

I do agree with the 4 points you made, but I don’t think they were the main takeaways of this interview.
