Seriously, seriously-seriously, why does activitypub software not default to having a maximum number of users per server. It's legit to not have seen this coming but this absolutely needs to be a thing going forward

If I call stux a wanker he can press a button and all the folk on his server can no longer follow me, if he's got 2000 users fine whatever but his server is Big and it should Never have been allowed to get this Big, I should not have been allowed to do the silly thing I did which was joining one of his servers

(I'd call gargron a wanker too but he already knows)

Alright fedi, last time I moved I had to leave my old account open 'cause I've got a bunch of old threads that keep getting updates and there wasn't a way to move your posts, still isn't on Mastodon 'cause if there were then .social would be easier to move off, Fedi ppl please tell me if there's a different engine that I can import my posts to on a different server

I made a post calling people w4rs day before yesterday, ended up in my notifications tab all day instead of the home tab, then yesterday I was busy with IRL stuff all day so didn't look at the home tab either, and this morning I wake up and look at the home tab and GUH

Dude just pressed a button and now I'm not following the people on mastodon.art who I was following before. Half the pictures in my feed disappeared. I don't know how many people I was following on .art, I didn't keep a list of who's on what server, why the hell would I care about that?

Apparently he changed his mind and un-pressed the button, my follows and followers are still severed.

And now he's had enough and he's taking a break from the computer.

    So I got one of these wee doodads. Little emulation handheld. Looks like an old Game Boy, about that size and looking like that aesthetic, but with four main buttons instead of two, plus a pair of analogue sticks.

    Analog? Never been clear on whether that's an American/British English thing or whether one is the electrical sense and the other is the kinda metaphorical comparative sense, IDK.
