inclementimmigrant,

Point number one is bullshit. Steam has unique IDs for players and developers have been able to ban bad actors from their games in the past so they can piss off with that bullshit justification.

And I was part of their 77 million PSN subscribers that was leaked in 2011 and I’m still getting scam emails from that fallout so their take about protecting their gamers is a load of shit.

inclementimmigrant,

Well domestic violence is a cornerstone of Missouri Republican and the greater Republican party set of values after all.

inclementimmigrant,

Yeah, Trump was standing on the shoulders of giants like Regan, Bush, and Bush to get us into mess. Thanks Republicans!

inclementimmigrant,

Judkins said that after the finger test, a lead cybertruck engineer at Tesla said he did the video wrong.

The engineer told him the frunk increases in pressure every single time it closes and detects resistance, Judkins said. It’s going to assume you want to close the frunk and maybe something like a bag is getting in the way, which would make it close harder.

Are you kidding me? You did the test wrong on a safety critical feature? No you dumbass engineer, you designed it wrong. Why in the holy fuck would you make a safety critical algorithm keep applying more pressure on subsequent attempts??? That’s literally the opposite of what you do for safety.

inclementimmigrant,

Yeah, I’m an embedded software developer myself and yeah, when we architect our code we have safety critical sections identified with software safety reviews and we always go with the assumption that we’re going to run into that one guy who’s the living embodiment of Murphy’s law and go from there with that design to minimize the potential for injury and death.

Can’t imagine who the hell is in charge of the software safety reviews there that let that pass.

inclementimmigrant,

Because like you said, it’s a nice to have feature. I like my wife’s auto closing hatch for when I have a handful of boxes for that final grocery run and just walk away and it closes. It’s literally just really nice convenience feature and if it fails, you go back to closing it manually.

inclementimmigrant, (edited )

Hey, @Killing_Spark, found a member of the Tesla software safety team!

inclementimmigrant,

It’s like you didn’t read or did read and didn’t actually comprehend what the article or linked video was actually taking about.

You sure would make a great fit at Tesla’s engineering and safety team.

inclementimmigrant,

Well they still are beholden to Sony executives that have no idea what gamers want unfortunately.

inclementimmigrant,

And it’s be okay with that honestly.

Sure he’s an asshole, always was, but his money got the electric car competition started and now there’s actually viable cars and a somewhat competitive market that could survive the loss of Tesla.

inclementimmigrant,

Pretty normal for most gaming communities steam or otherwise.

They all devolve into that because, well they’re games, not a whole lot to really talk about once the initial exploration of mechanics happens and then it falls into a cycle of other stuff, patch comes, discussion happens briefly, then back to other stuff. Rinse, repeat until the game does or the developer does something to piss the community off.

inclementimmigrant,

Yeah, I also find it to be bullshit since steam already has a way to ban and a appeals process they can follow.

Nah, this is just corporate meddling to get more data to mine and sell and let it be stolen when Sony inevitably allows another data breach.

inclementimmigrant,

Account required of you want the multiplayer aspect, which is why I will not buy it since that’s the only reason I want to buy and play it since I’ve already finished it on the PS4 with a physical copy.

inclementimmigrant,

Someone clearly didn’t play SNES games on the original hardware.

inclementimmigrant,

Look, I got hit with that stupid 2011 data breach PSN had and I still get scam emails with details from that due to the unique stuff I put in my various accounts. I’m not going to try to resurrect my now defunct account or create a new one so they can do more data mining and lose more of my PII, again.

inclementimmigrant,

This was back when colleges were still focused more on academics and critical thinking.

Now it’s about million dollar, MBA presidents, NCAA, alumni money, and the amount of money they generate.

inclementimmigrant,

Conservative are just so fucking stupid that it hurts my brains every god damn day having to deal with their fragile mental bullshit.

inclementimmigrant,

abcnews.go.com/US/…/story?id=109542824

Even his detail is thinking he’s going to be detained at some point because of his dumbass legal moves.

inclementimmigrant,

Yeah but at least the war bonds give you 300 credits for the next war bond and honestly I don’t mind this little bit of grind since I’m an older gamer and my group don’t mind dropping to medium difficulty to just steam roll a win and catch up on life so grinding credits isn’t too bad.

inclementimmigrant,

This is why I fucking hate government grants to corporations. These assholes never put in safeguards to actually force these jackass companies to actually use it as intended.
