To people outside Europe: Are 4.99 euros shipping costs for a letter with stickers too expensive? I ask because I could now send them with tracking and expedited delivery (for example, 7-10 business days to the USA).

Just a reminder:

I'm an out trans person. It's fine to publicly say "happy trans day" to someone like me.

If they're not public, don't out them!

I can be public because I'm self employed. I can be out because I happen to fit a "beauty standard". I can be out because I have a safety net of people around me, both allies and LGBT.

Not everyone has this luxury. Not everyone wants to be seen. Not everyone can give the middle finger to the work force. Take care to not destroy a life while "celebrating" it.

I'm receiving a package from Sweden via FedEx. Not really a long way to Berlin. But FedEx thought, oooof let's send the package in a really crappy way with an airplane to emit a lot of CO2!

I've mapped the tracking to see how FedEx ships packages within the EU. Usually, the packages took a more CO2-friendly route.

Except this time.

Every time I see people excited about federating with Threads, I think of the South Park episode were Zuckerberg starts raiding people's houses and they can't make him leave.

If you don’t mind someone rummaging through your underwear drawer and eating all your doritos, then by all means, go join Threads. They -only- want to steal your info to sell it. Why not let it happen? It makes funny red line go up! All at your own expense and mental health!

Mastodon isn't the most secure place on the net, but I trust my lovely admin to not sell info on me to make 20 Billion Eurodollars out of selfish greed for power and control. How much do you trust a man whose platform has literally destabilized governments?
