When the pandemic hit, Zoom became ubiquitous overnight. I urged caution to the economic development board I was on who wanted to join the bandwagon. I cited its history, silently installing server software on Macs — which Apple (unprecedentedly) had to remove from everyone’s computers.
Yes, Zoom smartened up after that, but the thought that festers is “how did you ever think that was ok?”
People forget too quickly and forgive companies too easily — especially when it’s convenient to do so.
@AlSweigart This presentation of a clock is very efficient: it show only the needed information and cuts unnecessary clutter. And what's more, the clock shows the correct time twice a day. 🥸
