Finally, an article that notes that pre-Dobbs, these women voted for Republicans and against their own self interest, but it doesn't go nearly far enough in calling out their willful ignorance. Republicans have been promising to enslave women for fifty years; a lot of privileged White women like this just didn't care when it was only happening to poor Brown and Black women and girls.
@kathleenthelaw Yeah. I also know SO MANY rich/upper-middle-class white Republican women who were SURE that "they wouldn't really do it," that it was all just a disingenuous way to rally part of their voting base...
Today in crazy IP news: Apparently an art teacher directed his students to paint in a particular style, then sold copies of their artwork online without telling them, labeling them as the subjects but taking credit for himself π€―π±π΅
As Chair of the the @openstreetmap Foundation's Legal/License Working Group, I posted about why EU governments should release data under @creativecommons's CC0 in furtherance of the EU Open Data Directive.
@kathleenthelaw Sorry, I may have misunderstood. In what ways does OSM need database rights to establish itself? Are you implying they make ODbL litigation cheaper or easier to win, or something like that?
In case anyone is wondering why covid vaccine uptake is so low, it's because it's still super hard to get, especially for families vs individuals.
My local walk-in flu clinic doesn't have it. The next closest one has it, but is 20 min away. But they don't have it for kids. I have to make a special appointment for my daughter. But kids under 5 can't mix and match, so I can't make an appointment until the Moderna shipment arrives (next week?). And I can't get one at the pediatric clinic.
