Today, 15 years ago the person or group with the fictive name of “Satoshi Nakamoto” created the first cryptocurrency named Bitcoin with the thought of it becoming a secure and fast alternative to fiat currency.

Now it's known as the most wasteful use of electricity, inefficient and limiting capability/functionality, as well as being among the most insecure and de-anonymizing ways to transfer money.

However, what Satoshi Nakamoto probably hasn't expected is how many scam-currencies would come after theirs, and how their invention would create a new breed of the most annoying people known to our species: crypto-bros.

I, instead of carefully picking parts that work together, bought a ddr4 s1700 mobo and a kit of ddr5 :|

Now i just have to wait until i tommorow to return it and get a ddr4 kit :(

T-Mobile at the Austin airport has completely melted down. I've been trying to download a Kindle book for my flight for half an hour now. Rebooted the phone twice, and gone into and out of airplane mode a bunch to force a connection reset. Half the time it gives me an exclamation point for signal strength.

Those "always connected" assumptions are typical silicon valley self-fart-huffing.

I know some worse shite, like some "Food Courier Apps" that literally demand to have condtant background access to the GPS even when the user/employee isn't on an active shift where one may argue they have "legitimate interest" as they pay per kilometers driven...
(i.e. if they want to look up their shifts for the coming week)

i just did over 3 hours of web browsing (trying to find a good adjustable weight bench outside of the US) with many tabs in firefox on A311D Reform that has only 4GB RAM, and there were zero problems because i just used a swapfile on my SSD :3
