Maybe gain a bit of momentum by adding a forwards somersault.

Ilia, returning to study the carbon units. I thought that was the coolest thing when I was young.

How Many Streaming Services Do You Have?

I remember when it was just Hulu for $5 and Netflix for $8. Saved $50 a month from cable. Now it seems we spend more. I have four. Max, Peacock, Paramount and Hulu. Prime doesn’t count because it sucks balls. (Only paying Netflix when next Stranger Things and Squid Game is released). Curious to see what the average...

None. Cancelled cable over 10 years ago, download what I want. I haven’t seen an ad in ages. I use uBlock and a VPN if I want to watch youtube, haven’t had any ads. The only ads I get are on the radio, but it’s free, that’s the way radio has always worked.

I started looking for an SDF alternative just yesterday, to see if SDF was broken again. So thanks for the post. Guess I will carry on with another account. I’m thinking lemmy.ca.

I’ve always had my winter tires on seperate wheels. In the past it’s been steel wheels, but for my current car, I got a matching set of OEM wheels fairly cheap bc someone had custom wheels put on their car and didn’t want the OEM wheels, so I bought them at a discount from the dealer, and had some winter tires put on. I couldn’t imagine getting the tires on my wheels switched twice a year, I just get the wheels swapped. I used to do it myself, it’s a bit of a workout to change four wheels, these days I get a shop to do it. Steel wheels aren’t the most aesthetic, although my silver Subaru looked pretty good in the snow with 17" black wheels and some aggressive winter tires. Drifting…drifting…drifting the night away!

Brown, in physics, low-intensity light with a wavelength of about 600 nanometres in the visible spectrum. In art, brown is a colour between red and yellow and has low saturation.

It cleary says light as a wavelength. By your own photospectrometer if you’d like to see it. I used to do colour testing in a lab.

This app crossed the line

In a report released last month, privacy commissioners said people who downloaded the Tim Hortons app had their movements tracked and recorded every few minutes — even when the app was not open on their phones.

I think the terms you’re looking for are narcissism and empathy. Narcissism is the inhumanity, empathy the humanity. Can a narcissist have empathy, and vise versa? I can’t say I’ve ever heard of an empathist, having too much empathy.

lemmie689,
@lemmie689@lemmy.sdf.org avatar

That’s a lack of knowledge. Narcissists can be just as stupid, even more so as they consider themselves smarter than everyone. Sound familiat?

I use KDE Connect as a media remote and to transfer files between my phone and computers. It has quite a few other functions, like remote mouse control, sms, seems to share clipboards as well.

What isn’t working? It’s a little different than the phone app, but it works for me.

Gen X, hetero, use linux, smoke pot, watch star trek. I went to the Doobie Brothers concert.

What is the psychology of people who idiolize mass shooters, sees them as heroes and replicate their acts?

Im not fully grasping how the mind of those “copycats” works. People who are obsessed with Columbine for example, and want to do a mass shooting. That is their thought process? Is there some study I can read exploring what’s on their minds?

A touch of narcissistic psychopathy, lack of empathy.
