@glennf@Dr_Bombay there’s a story attributed to the Joh. Enschedé punchcutter Paul Rädisch who allegedly did not like the introduction of a mechanical engraving device in his workshop. And then took parts from the machine and tossed them in the canal on his walk home.
Where are the type designers advertising now that most of us have abandoned Twitter? I’ve heard that LinkedIn is good because people use it on their desktop so they might buy fonts right after seeing an ad. Instagram, OTOH, seems to be mobile centric so it’s not a great way to sell downloads.
Today is a big day! Introducing Wilco Loft Sans, a new typeface we made in collaboration with the @wilco team. It’s a high contrast sans serif in 4 weights inspired by the giant “GUITAR” sign that hangs in The Loft (Wilco’s Chicago recording studio).
