I keep looking at rust and thinking "Gods it seems to be an awesome language"... Then I read and hear about a lot of hassels moving from C or C++ to rust and never really any massive success stories... are the massive success stories out there?

Okay I need to understand something here.
If I in C++ have the program in the picture below.
What would the type of T1 be in print?

I assumed it would char* but that is incorrect and so is std::string.
Can someone help?

@godzero @arstechnica the taskbar (pre win 11) and macOS dock is not comparable at all, in my opinion. It was the look of the widgets and stuff, that brought (bad) memories of vista.
