@suearcher I often pass through Eccles on the train from Warrington into Manchester. I'm fairly sure I'll not be able to do so without singing Eccles Beach from now on 😆
Work are letting us try out this monitor, which looks like a joke image begging for a caption, but is actually a real thing somebody thought needed to be made.
@petealexharris I quite like that. Big enough that you can have your code window in the middle, a browser on the left for looking things up / stealing from stackoverflow, and fill up the right hand side with chat apps, Mastodon, and other similarly important stuff.
Atari having fun with PR boxes again. The tiny snag: they’re not sealed. So when I pulled this out of its container, on which there was no handy arrow, the 400 Mini fell out and slid across the office floor. No harm done, mind. Mini-consoles are nigh-on indestructible.
@craiggrannell There are quite a few photos of me & my sisters as children in the 1970s and in the living room there are the most hideous mustard yellow & chocolate brown curtains you could possibly imagine.
I keep meaning to scan in some of those old pictures but get mildly traumatised every time I look at the decor!
It's still 9 months or something away, but already the US Election is causing me to bounce up & down on my mute button like Zebedee from the Magic Roundabout.
#USPol people: I have copious filters to hide your stuff from my timeline, so if it gets through you're probably not following Mastodon/Fediverse best practices.
Put stuff behind CWs. Use hashtags. Don't deliberately mis-spell names.
I know you might feel this is the most interesting, vitally important election ever, but many of us don't have the mental space or desire to process a constant stream of fear and fury.
