Right, so you're seeing this and wondering what happened and why are you seeing a new account.

I bricked my fedi.maikel.dev instance of Calckey trying to migrate to Firefish using the obsolete and broken ubuntu.sh script on their repo.

After getting annoyed, I went to sleep, woke up today and tried again but with a fresh install. The script is still pretty much broken even for that so I'm taking charge of my online presence by forking Firefish and ensuring this never happens again, there's plenty in the repo I had already changed on my instance like what comes out when I use a search box.

I've lost ALL of my social graph so lots of people won't even figure out where the F did I go unless you boost this and might think I died 😇. So please, for their sake, do boost: I was before @maikel now I am here in @maikel

EDIT: Note that I'm adding some changes to the code so expect my instance today to fall a few times before it runs stable.

@kkarhan you could point the domain to vercel and they'll do the HTTPS for you all for free, in fact https://maikel.dev/ is hosted for free. YOu could also use github pages, in fact https://blog.maikel.dev/ is using it.

I don't think it is irrelevant when you're offering IT services. In fact, any other IT guy thinking in hiring might look at that and think "why on earth is he not using SSL when it is free nowadays"?

After extensive testing I've come to the realization that ChatGPT is useless for anything BUT copywriting.

Anything that implies code means it'll tell you the wrong or suboptimal solution or even make up libraries that do not exist. Most of the time even in obvious cases. Github Copilot $100 a year fee is like paying to argue with a machine.
