If you had the feeling that the online discussion about COVID-19 vaccines was biased depending on the actors, you are right.

Using #MachineLearning and #NetworkScience we have shown that being a human or a bot, verified or unverified (according to previous Twitter rules) and political leaning were relevant factors for choosing the words in posts and, accordingly, the corresponding emotions to trigger.

A genuine computational social science study, led by Anna Bertani for her Msc thesis, now published also in collaboration with Riccardo Gallotti and Pierluigi Sacco

Network models can be time dependent, they are. Therr are growth and death models to, so it's a rather broad configuration space.

I want to read the sentence in another way, that would be also aligned with my view.

Existing models can be broad, but they are based on specific mechanisms outlined as some point and fixed along time. That is: once given, the mechanism (eg, an algorithm, a function, a procedure) can't change in response to the environment. So models are not broad enough.

Instead, biological complexity apparently needs such a change over time: while at some fundamental level the laws are the same (physics, chemistry) over time, at higher scales there can be new mechanisms emerging from a particular configuration, that open a whole new set of opportunities.

It would interesting to know if this is what @yoginho had in mind or not.
