PSA: if you install Grammarly it disables the system's "continuous spell checking" feature unilaterally across all apps. This is extremely poor form. @mjtsai wrote about @iawriter's discovery over two years ago, and it still does it. @adamjcook This is happening around the nation as rightwing extremists of all stripes inflame their bases about law & order, religious liberty, parental rights & child safety being under attack by “groomers, perverts, transgenderists, pedophiles, socialists, criminals, immigrants, and the ultrawoke left” - code for any real Americans struggling for equal rights. At least Newsom, Pelosi, Clinton and others are calling a spade a spade, but the White House needs to do more.
Honestly, I feel powerless against all this hate and violence. And right wing extremists keep saying we need more and more guns, and that trans people, women who have abortions, and black lives are the real existential threats to this great white nation.
