So you write a company to get tech support for a feature you hope exists. Tech support responds promptly and informs you such a feature does not in fact exist. Then later you get a request asking you to rate the support you got.

Do you give them ★★★★★ because they answered your question quickly and clearly or ★☆☆☆☆ because they didn’t actually help resolve your problem/request? Or perhaps something in between?

@gedeonm I always vote 5 because sometimes the companies are messed up enough to hinge someones employment on those sorts of scores.

But in this scenario, without the above in mind, I'd rate based on the quality of the conversation, not necessarily the end result.

Watched part 1 of the Steve Martin documentary on AppleTV. I’ve always loved Steve but boy, I had no idea how hard he worked or how long it took for him to earn his fame.

The doc is heart-warming, sincere, self-deprecating and fascinating. Looking forward to part 2. Highly recommended.

@viticci the DVD(!) had an option where you could watch the movie chronologically. Not sure if that’s out there still, but worth tracking down if you dug the movie as it was.

Impossible to say just how bad this is and how many point of failures it took for this to happen but people have probably died. Tragic because it was completely preventable.

It does sound like there was some level of closure when the ship made a Mayday call, which prevented some from getting onto/ being on the bridge.
