    📷 Dahlia &The Biltmores

    Dahlia works at the vegetable stand where I buy tomatoes. She's almost 10 and very chill, as you can see.

    Ethan, her Dad, suggested I try his Biltmore variety of tomatoes. They resemble beefsteaks in color and flavor, and some have gathered tops like many heirloom varieties.

    Ethan's family grow the produce they sell and will have some variety of tomatoes through early November.

    These 3 were $5.60.

    Salt + Pepper

    Hard to photograph but it's all in there!

    Update on this week’s volunteer trip to southern Ukraine🇺🇦

    ✈️Unlike my previous trips, I am closer to the frontlines and staying longer. So I needed to upgrade my travel bag, work gear, personal protective equipment, to name a few.

    🧳Today I checked if it all would fit, excluding Xing Xing 🐱and it did!

    This just popped up, 9 years ago today. Eve of My dear late Akita boy named "Kanta" lying in the water of the Sweetwater Creek in GA, USA, cooling from the summer heat. I lost him in October, 2018. A huge boy who never stopped shedding. Drake became my sole dog since then.

    We were bored so we went to a county park: Kengo's first time there. It was very warm but with low humidity. No, Kengo didn't use the hydrant in the proverbial way. The last picture shows the Butterfly Trail section where I managed to get three .

    A cool Saturday morning. Heat is forecast to come back later next week, but I feel (hope) autumn is coming. Kengo did a happy dance wanting to go when I put on my clothes.

    Fortunately, we escaped any significant impact from Hurricane Idalia where I live in GA, USA. So, Kengo and I made a quick trip to the reservoir of the . It was humid but below 80F. Some colors starting in the leaves as can be seen in the last picture.
