Now that I have a job and a start date, I'm able to end my Job Seekers Allowance claim.
Oh my word, these people are not prepared for people to actually get a job. At my initial interview they went into great detail about how I'd be penalised for not seeking work. When she asked if I had questions I said yes, what do I do when I find work? It wasn't something they felt they needed to cover.
I went in today and it was like I was from another planet.

I just put some new plants in my aquarium and my froggos are loving it! The fish don't seem to care in the slightest (which is good because the plants don't get eaten) but Benoit and Antoine have found new places to climb and new leaves to hide under. #aquarium#frogs#fish

The mug I didn't buy yesterday is secretly in use! It will soon be washed and put back in the cupboard because me and a friend have a bet going for how long it will take to be noticed.
It's deceptively large and the handle is comfortable to hold. And it has ducks on it!
I have a Parker Vector that I've used for about 20 years and I've never found anything to be so usable and smooth as this. I have a collection of fantastic inks so I'd like more pens to use but don't want to waste my money on something scratchy. Any ideas?
Oh boy, work was bad. Work was very, very bad. I did badly in my training in all 4 hours and got constant negative feedback. And somehow I've got to take myself back there for at least another year until there's any chance it won't feel like this?
I've never played the lottery in my life but today I signed up to play the Euro Millions twice a week in the hopes that I don't have to do this any more.
I have a very rare day to myself tomorrow. It will involve gardening, a little walk to the shop (do I get the dinosaur or the rainbow gingerbread biscuit this time?), and gaming and reading, which is a given on any day of the week. Oh, and pizza because... Well, pizza is always the answer regardless of the question.

Tried a new recipe with a new ingredient: polenta. We decided it was great except for the polenta, which was 85% of the dish. So basically, we liked the cheese. But we tried new things!

Well impressed with myself today. I changed the headlight in my car.
For many people this is simple but my car is a notorious brand that doesn't make it easy. If it was the driver's side then I'd have to take it into a garage to have the engine exhaust hose detached before being able to get to the light... Luckily this was the other side and I decided it didn't look difficult.
3 youtube videos and a socket wrench later, I did it! 💪
Today is the day of my birth! At least it was many years ago but today is the annual day of recognition that I'm not dead yet.
I'm mostly spending it alone but I have plans to watch Calypso's Birthday from #OFMD and have some Chinese food later. Maybe a Christmas film as well? The possibilities are endless.
I've just discovered that A Gentleman in Moscow has been made into a thing for Paramount+.
Originally it was Kenneth Branagh in the main role but now it's Ewan McGregor.
A Gentleman in Moscow is one of the most special and wonderful books I've read so far in my life. Ewan McGregor was my first one true love when I was younger.
I'm not sure how to feel about this but then it's Paramount+ so I can't watch it anyway. Maybe that's for the best.
On the Tusky app, when I click on a hashtag I can see all the posts available under that hashtag. At the top are 2 images: a person with a plus sign which I use regularly to follow the hashtag, and a speaker with an x.
If I press this speaker button, does it mean mute? Does this hide all posts with this hashtag or do I need to setup a filter for this? Thanks!
