I'm using a syringe needle & injecting vinegar right into the roots of 9 invasive Japanese knotweed plants that popped up at far end of backyard. I was able to destroy a lot of invasive white morning glory plants that way, last year.
Being single & free has its advantages, but for those of you who have a partner in life that you can trust, love & help to carry the load, cherish them. Life is much easier with two.
Managing the challenges of life, taking care of a home, paying bills, maintaining property, running a business, looking after a menagerie of animals, and everything in between is a heavy weight to carry on your own.

I don't have any major chore plans this weekend. Going to skip the cellar decluttering. Maybe do some grilling. Already did some system updating but I do need to install a couple things in one computer. Other than that going to try to enjoy the Labor Day weekend.
Possibility that son will come by and do some cleanup on the mini split installation but my involvement in that is just kibitz related.
I do have tons of chores planned for subsequent weekends. We won't think about that today.
😱 Fishhook ants are capable of piercing skin and getting lodged into the throat of would-be predators. They are also known to link together in huge swarms creating a spiked floor to ward off attackers.
Anybody got a rhyme for zombie? Asking for a friend. (For real: she likes rhyming things as she writes stream-of-consciousness, and out came zombie, which stumped her.)
While looking for pics of bleps for Bleptember, I stumbled on this old picture from April 2021, before I cleared all the moss of our garage roof.
Moss or no moss, the cats love this roof. The garage, an old barn, is built into a hill so the lowest part of that side is only about 60cm off the ground ie, a perfect height for being tickled when a human is walking along the adjacent footpath.
An old friend who I haven't been in touch with since 2014 randomly heard me on the radio, looked me up, and we met for Thai food this evening. Now I have a local friend who loves arts and crafts as much as I do🥰 #GratitudeToot
