We gleefully celebrate attacks on science and knowledge, reason and expertise.

We have entered an era of wilful ignorance.

A new Dark Age.

"CBS News, in partnership with The Trace and Reveal from The Center for Investigative Reporting, reviewed records from hundreds of law enforcement agencies across the United States and found that many had routinely resold or traded in their used duty weapons -- a practice that has sent thousands of guns into the hands of criminals.”

Our lives mean NOTHING to these people. THIS IS A SICK GAME.

"lf a person refused to (unmask), that right there should cause you some sense of alarm."

NYC Mayor Eric Adams continues to encourage businesses to request customers to unmask. This is ableist, puts people's health at risk, and is NOT required by law.

Half of Amazon warehouse workers struggle with food and housing costs.

A third of the workers have had to rely on at least one government assistance program.

Amazon's stock hit an all time high in April. Jeff Bezos is now worth $203 billion.

This is what oligarchy looks like.

A reminder once more that a system cannot fail those it was never meant to protect.

Mom's settlement cheque arrived. A whole $5.86 - after $2 processing fee 😏

"The website says the lawsuit occurred after the personal information, including health card numbers, of 8.6 million customers was stolen.

Payments are much smaller than what was originally promised on the settlement approval notice, which was compensation of $50 to $150."

"Israeli Historian Ilan Pappé - a staunch critic of Zionism - was detained & interrogated this week by FBI agents as he entered the US.

"They had a long phone conversation with someone... & after copying everything on my phone allowed me to enter."

Actions like this taken under pressure from Israel "smell of sheer panic & desperation in reaction to Israel's becoming very soon a pariah state", said Pappé.

In "Stop Telling Women To Smile" by Tatyana Fazializadeh uses her arresting street art portraits to explore how women experience hostility in communities that are supposed to be
homes.She addresses the pervasiveness of
street harassment,it's effects and the kind of activism that can serve to counter it.
The result is a cathartic recognizing with the aggression women endure, and an examination
of what equality truly entails
