Donald Trump, who is not the president, is using a minority of Republicans to block aid to Ukraine, to undermine the actual president’s foreign policy, and to weaken American power and credibility.
Yeah, because it typically works that way, that just someone has to say something with courage and the weak president is too afraid to say something against it…
I had to test/fix something at work and I set up a Windows VM because it was a bug specific to Windows users. Once I was done, I thought, “Maybe I should keep this VM for something.” but I couldn’t think of anything that wasn’t a game (which probably wouldn’t work well in a VM anyway) or some super specific enterprise...
I’ve heard multiple issues with 5G, like range and stuff, effectively sacrificing range and reliability for even more speed just so that companies can market it better. Do you think 5G is a downgrade compared to 4G?
If I remember correctly it got phased out of a Nokia development and the developers still wanted the project to succeed after Nokia stopped the development.
So they made their own company and had done tries with crowdfunding and their own devices, and after some time they settled for licensing.
But sadly they got quite silent. I kinda celebrate every life sign from them, because I really like their concept
(Not sure about the history after all that time, so take that with a grain of salt)
Edit: oh, the article already talks about that… So my comment is mostly redundancy…
I think it just makes eye contact easier. I can see the reaction in the eyes of the other one(s), but they can’t really see mine. So they don’t see, when I emotionally react to something - at least not as much.
I’m in a pretty vegan-friendly country with a long tradition of plant-based eating. Most people eat meat, but they are basically sympathetic to every meat-free argument: ethical, environmental, health. They sometimes do an awkward little shuffle & apologise for eating meat in front of me or say they’re part-time vegetarians...
I always had cats around me as a child and teenager, and always advocated against having a cat in an apartment, because I find it cruel.
But then an orange starving baby cat stumbled in my life and he’s more than happy to be with me - even after several apartment changes
I’m kinda with you that I find it strange, that people explicitly buy specific breeds just to lock them in their flats, but I’m also experiencing currently how grateful my cat is, to be with us.
So, I guess just like for people, animals want to have a friendly environment. And as long as it’s viable, this social factor seems to matter more than the perfect replication of natural environment
Edit: obviously also depends on the animal and how social it is
