Everything just seems so out of control. The US seems to be tearing itself apart. The world is on fire. We seem to be going backwards when it comes to freedom and human rights. We’ve turned our backs on each other. How do you cope with all this without just giving up?
Also, keep in mind that all the negativity you see is mostly due to 24hour news cycles and other methods of getting instant updates from around the world. And misery-porn sells better.
EDIT : It seems as no one understood what i was talking about and maybe its my fault for not elaborating . I always thought chicken was a metaphor for this paradox and not really meaning chicken as a specific spiece . So my question is how did the ancestor of chicken came to be if it was born (egg) wouldn’t it need a parent or...
He is currently spinning in his grave at 2000 revolutions per minute after learning how his face was monetized via t-shirt sales, making him the greatest revolutionary in history.
On a more serious note, Che was a marxist revolutionary active in middle america, and took part in (amongst other things) Fidel Castros coup. He has, for a few decades after his death, become a symbol for leftist uprising. But he has since become a symbol for smoking pot under a tree and thinking the world would be better if we could all just, like, be cool, and stuff, y’know.
Side note: I remember seeing an interview with the photographer who took the famous picture of Che. He didn’t mind its spread, so anyone is free to use it however they want, including sell8ng t-shirt prints.
In the last 5 to 10 years everything seems to suck: product’s and services quality plummeted, everything from homes to cars to food became really expensive, technology stopped to help us to be something designed to f@ck with us and our money, nobody seems to be able to hold a job anymore, everyone is broke. Life seems worse in...
Some people change their socks every single day, to me that’s a little to much. I’m more of a 2-3days kinda guy. Is changing socks each day absolutely necessary?...
Depends what I’m doing. On an average home office day I barely even wear socks outside of dropping the kids off at school, so the pair that I’m currently wearing is on the floor next to my bed has been used three days in a row.
When I’m doing field work it usually means long days of wearing shoes, often in hot climate, and often loafing around airports. For those days I always pack three extra pairs of clean socks to have in my kit.
Same. Got my 166MHz (mmx!!) aptiva as a birthday gift in 1998. While most of the components had been upgraded by 2001, I continued using the chassis and the mic until 2007
As much as I agree that something needs to be done to these companies, and that they deserve punishment, I think this approach would only result in leaks (even more) underreported, which makes it even worse.
Saved you a click: Because onterior rooms are just as large, while a lot cheaper. She doesn’t consider the extra cost for a balcony she’ll barely use worth it.
You all remember just a few weeks ago when Sony ripped away a bunch of movies and TV shows people “owned”? This ad is on Amazon. You can’t “own” it on Prime. You can just access it until they lose the license. How can they get away with lying like this?
It should be noted that Amazon was among the first to prove that buying isn’t owning a few years ago when a book that many people had legally bought was automatically scrubbed feom devices. The title had been removed from the catalog, and any kindle which held it automatically removed it without the users concent, and they were given amazon store credit in return.
