Just another day in America! Calais, France to Dover, England “only” 29 miles. So, yeah, that’s long in a tiny rubber boat, but it’s not like they’re crossing it at the widest point, which is 150 miles.
The newly announced “Public Content Policy” will now join Reddit’s existing privacy policy and content policy to guide how Reddit’s data is being accessed and used by commercial entities and other partners.
Unfortunately, we see more and more commercial entities using unauthorized access or misusing authorized access to collect public data in bulk, including Reddit public content, worse, these entities perceive they have no limitation on their usage of that data, and they do so with no regard for user rights or privacy, ignoring reasonable legal, safety, and user removal requests. While we will continue our efforts to block known bad actors, we need to do more to restrict access to Reddit public content at scale to trusted actors who have agreed to abide by our policies. But we also need to continue to ensure that users, mods, researchers, and other good-faith, non-commercial actors have access.”
So, pay to get access, like Google did with their $60 million deal. We’re nothing but money to them.
“we’ll be mindful about placing ads in our games because we’re getting absolutely no revenue from new games we produce…which means they’ll be everywhere.”

This is like my friend who “invested” in Doggy (not Doge) coin “because it was going to explode and become highly valuable” even though it was only worth like .1% of what Doge was worth like two years back… He’s a teacher.
Or my other friend that invested thousands in Etherium like 2 years back, while knowing basically nothing about “The Etherium Network”, or anything crypto related. He just knew that he could potentially make money off of it like he could with stocks. I asked him like a year later if he ever made anything off of it and he said “not really”, and said he had reinvested the money into other things (I forget which, it wasn’t crypto related) 🤣
I knew this was gonna be massively down voted but you can’t place 100% of the blame on the famous people. Don’t put yourself in a bad situation if you don’t want something bad to possibly happen. It’s like walking through a bad neighborhood at night wearing expensive clothes and jewelry, and flashing wads of cash. Then some robs you at gunpoint and beats the shit out of you, then you complain that you did nothing wrong and it was the robbers fault, which is entirely true, but if you didn’t wanna possibly be robbed you shouldn’t have put yourself in that position in the first place. It’s like no one takes responsibility for their actions anymore, it’s always the other person’s fault.
“I should be allowed to walk around with gold chains and rings all over, wearing a $5,000 suit counting hundred dollar bills in Camden, NJ at 3 AM without the fear of getting attacked!”
There’s always going to be shitty people in the world.
I don’t use Reddit anymore, but I wanted to search something that I couldn’t find anywhere. This is what I saw. After killing all the other apps, Reddit now is trying to force us to use their own spyware app.
I’m going to guess enabling “desktop mode” in Chrome (idk if other browsers have it) would probably work as well, but would throw off the layout most likely.
I think what’s even more annoying is when you actually do use the app, every community you visit, it pops up a notification that says “turn on notifications so you don’t miss updates from this community!”
I was talking to a female friend and young Arnold Schwarzenegger came up on conversation. I pulled up a picture of him and spent a long time looking at it. Then said "I am trying to decide if he is attractive....
I understand what OP means. He (?) is saying that when a woman starts to have bulging muscles, a la the bodybuilder look, it isn’t attractive, because their body looks more masculine and less feminine.
I feel the same way, I love the look of a toned, athletic woman, like the typical yoga or volleyball/tennis body, but when they start having visible definition and bulging muscles it don’t find it attractive.
I’m a dude as well, as to OP’s question, I’ve also heard that some women prefer the dad bod to the Arnold look because muscles aren’t soft to lay on.
Oh nice, I have a Carbon X1. I knew that fprintd has worked for a while, and has allowed me to enroll fingerprints, but has never successfully worked for authentication.
I know this is a month old, but this was randomly recommended to me in YouTube and I watched their “ad”, even though it’s free to install on a Pi or any other device that can run Debian or Ubuntu.
It works well in a Pi, but their documentation is out of date, and accessing the web GUI isn’t as easy as it should be, especially for new users of Linux. There’s no way to (officially) set a static IP in the OS. I searched their forums, and followed their guide, which didn’t apply anymore since they’re using NetworkManager now. I applied a static IP via that…and FUBAR’d the webUI. A simple reflash of the uSD card doesn’t work either since there are hidden partitions or something because the settings still persisted after two DDs. I had to zero out the first few megs and reflash it in order to get it to work again.
That being said. I’m going to give it to a friend as a no hassle/small footprint/low power piracy box and Plex server.
