Social media in general is full of people that want to rage or exert control over someone else. I had two of my comments here on Lemmy (not sure what server) under the News community for “Victim Blaming” and “Victim Shaming” for saying that people need to take responsibility for their actions occasionally instead of constantly blaming it on the other party.
I stopped actively using it in about 2015 and every time I happen to go on it (like once every 3 years because, like a lot of people, it’s how I communicate with family members I don’t see often) it’s like uncovering and diving into a cesspool.
Some time ago, I pulled this sticker off our old fridge before we got rid of it and put it onto my PC’s side panel (don’t ask me why, I guess I thought it looked cool). I don’t exactly know where it came from or who put it there, although I suspect it was put there by a Australian relative that was visiting us a long time...
It felt like it was uncool to have even a touch of racism when Obama got elected and through his presidency. But since the MAGA movement, I feel like subtle and out-right racism has increased. Like a gateway was opened....
Yeah, that’s probably why. I’m 38 and racism has always been prevalent here. If anything, I’d say it was worse when Obama was president because all the racists/White Supremacists didn’t want a black guy running the country since it has been white guys since the 1700s.
They definitely are, I have been using 1.6 for a while, it’s just a pain in the ass to keep updating SKSE mods or those mods that support 1.6 but only older versions because the authors don’t make mods anymore.
So, they’re giving it the Skyrim treatment. I think it’s received about 10 version updates since AE launched like 2 years ago. I ended up downloading a modlist that was 1.5.97 (the original version of Skyrim SE) and ended up sticking with it since it’s future proofed.
