I'll do another round of fixes this week, so don't fret if your report hasn't been addressed yet, or if you'd like to contribute to the bug megathread: https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=140647
Appreciate all the hard work you're putting into updates! Maintaining something so complex across a bunch of operating systems and devices is no small feat!
Reworked the multi-switch door to be more intuitive, treating it as keys with numbered doors instead of switches that can be turned on and off. Wasn't quite landing with playtesters in the previous state.
Less weird string conversions for save data will hopefully clear up some of the bugs I've been dealing with, and finally get me over this last hump before playtesting can commence!
Have also spent some time setting target times for each level so you can know what target you're shooting before before you jump into a level. Seems like a small addition but it took a surprising amount of time to figure out values that made sense.
Menus and stats appear immediately at the end of levels right now. I want to find a nice balance where we keep this sense of speed but things look more polished. Will likely have them fly in from the sides, but there are a few options to consider!
@Liquidream Thanks! Adjusted it based on some in-person feedback saying the exact same thing! I liked the ‘neon sign’ vibe of the first option but if it’s not legible, what’s the point?
@Achie7240 I want Stickyfoot to be pretty action-packed with only a few head-scratchers, so this particular mechanic is only gonna be in a few levels :)
Discovered the Portable Puzzle Collection by @simontatham today, and I’m so incredibly glad that some folks continue to produce sites and content like this.
