When I come back from my holiday in early March sunrise here will be just about 7am. At the moment it’s 8.09am. I’m really looking forward to being able to run outdoors in daylight, there are too many trip and slip hazards for me to feel comfortable running around here in the dark even if was wearing a head torch. Gotta keep the faith that the sun will do its thing as we creep towards spring

@Sharonbw I don’t like it either. I would rather stay in bed until the sun comes up! And running indoors on the treadmill looking out through a window into darkness is not exactly a joyful experience

Cracked and had a few jars of wine last night. I have a difficult and not totally healthy relationship with wine. Where I'm in love with it and expect it to change, but it won't and keeps reminding me in ways I should have learned from by now. So I'm a little jaded this morning. But I have dealt with this by eating(drinking?) a frankly unbelievable amount of soup. This new soup obsession is extremely surprising to me. Is it an age thing? I couldn't have given two figs for soup previously but now.... now I can't get enough. It's.... souper (sorry).

My cleaner caught me and wanted to talk about the psychic she’s going to see to try to speak to her recently deceased daughter. I am against this, as a) I think it’s a load of bullshit and these people exploit the bereaved and b) she has been coping so much better and feeling more like herself again and I just worry this will stir up a lot of emotions again. I just said I don’t believe in it, but she clearly does (she also believes in palm reading and “angel numerology” whatever that is). This is quite surprising given that a few years ago she was a psychology undergraduate. I’m not sure she is cut out for academic rigour 😬

I probably shouldn't do this when I'm dressed up as Marky Mark, the Funky Grunch, but I have been extremely blue today. I don't like putting that negative energy out there until I've dealt with it and can say.... I felt rubbish, but now don't. So I went to the gym tonight for the first time since September.

I'll be honest.

It. Was. Rubbish.

But I've taken the top layer off I think. The epidermis of misery. The EPIDERMISERY! YES! I AM THE KING OF WORDS!

It's so deeply unfair that I am designed to be a blob of sadness unless training to be some kind of international athlete.

    Well..this day keeps sucking...they sent out a plow truck..an F-250 dually 4 wheel drive and he got stuck about 5 times...only made one pass and he dug the slush and snow up so much it's worse..so I called the plow supervisor and of course only got voicemail..told him they should send out one of the road plows and make a couple of passes to get it down to the dirt...so it looks like I'm here for the next week at least or I go out with my spade and snow shovel and do 30 yards by hand..

    Morning. On a go slow so decided to exercise this afternoon instead of before work. Our cleaner is coming in 10 minutes, she’s just sooooooo chatty and I’m feeling kind of introverted. Luckily I have a meeting at 9.30 that I can duck into. I feel like an awful person for not wanting to engage but sometimes I just can’t take the force of her chat. More training this afternoon, I’m learning so much about survey design and what to avoid. I’m sure we’ve all seen questionnaires that are illogical, so badly designed or just downright annoying that you give up. I don’t want that for my survey!
