Morning! I’m having so much trouble getting to sleep since I changed my med timings. I was up until 1am again last night, even a sleep meditation didn’t do the trick. Still I had nothing particular to get up for, so I slept until 9am. Social worker coming round this afternoon, I can tell her that I’m much improved and probably don’t need her anymore - but! I want to ensure I can get timely support if things go bad again! What’s on your agenda?

I’ve just spent two hours on admin tasks I haven’t had the strength to do in the past weeks, everything from enquiring who to send my sick note to some financial stuff to trying to get a sitter for Miss Cinnamon when we go away in July. Very tired now! But pleased with what I’ve achieved

Good morning. I don’t feel as perky and cheerful today, maybe that’s just because of the heavy rain or the fact that I didn’t sleep well. Got to go out into the wet to pick up my fit note and pop into the post office. I’d rather go back to sleep. How do you feel today?

I made a lovely roast dinner and Tom and I are just relaxing listening to music together in the living room. When we’ve had a break I will finally get my rhubarb and custard! Looking forward to bedtime with clean sheets and hoping for a better sleep tonight

I’m wiped out now. Trying not to nap as my sleep’s been quite disrupted this week and I thinking napping will make it worse. Tom’s got a boring DIY job to do so I might go for a walk while he gets on with it.

Last boost: while I sometimes feel sad that my grownup children don’t live closer and I can’t see them as much as I would like because of pesky things like jobs, my kids and I are in contact really often. We don’t talk on the phone unless it’s something really complicated - I hate the phone - but my daughter and I text daily and the longest my son and I go without texting is a week, and that’s rare. Maybe I’m just super lucky?

I have achieved more this morning than I have in weeks. Washed up, boiled/steamed the potatoes, eggs and beans for a tuna Niçoise salad, potted up 5 plants, two of which were v large and quite time-consuming. Still lots to do but I’m pleased with myself

Good morning. Depression fairly mild so far but I struggled to wake up. I had a very vivid dream that I made mad passionate love with my former boss, then had to be nice to her wife (we all worked in the same department last year). Then she finished with me by text, harsh. Going into the bigger town this morning, maybe I can wangle a cheese scone in M&S

Well my meeting with the pro-bono psychotherapist was a bust. He doesn’t believe in bipolar and thinks it’s basically a marketing ploy by Big Pharma. So that’s really not a good fit with me and my worldview, the diagnosis makes sense of my experiences in a way no other explanation has. Guess I will have to shop around for a therapist.
