One of the advantages of joining the Fediverse is that I hear about art prompts that I (as a rather asocial type) would otherwise be entirely unaware of, often for things I haven't tried to draw before.

So anyway, apparently May is 'Mermay', where you draw mermaids? Sounds good to me! Let's draw a thing. Hopefully it's a good thing.

I've been sick all today and yesterday (poor me), and as a result I've had little energy for anything today but drawing, so here's a bonus entry in my ongoing series of tieflings/erinyes/devil-girls, whatever you like to think of them. This time with hooves!*

Fired up Might and Magic 6 again. This is almost certainly not the best use of my gaming time, given how many other objectively better games I have in my library.

It's fun remembering how to abuse the alchemy system to power up my party's stats, and plotting character progression. There's plenty to like. But at the same time it gets genuinely tedious clearing out the ridiculous hordes of enemies that appear practically everywhere.

It's a silly game, really.

I've finally finished the Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, completing the set of #AceAttorney games (excepting the crossover with Prof. Layton). So I drew one of the characters: Esmeralda Tusspells, wax sculptress and witch cosplayer.

(Actually I finished the game over a month ago, but I was busy through October, so...)

I enjoyed Chronicles, even if the script really needed trimming down at times. Definitely a game of two parts rather than two games though.

Day 25 of #Arttrober is Uta of One Piece, specifically the movie One Piece: Red.

One Piece is such a stylised anime/manga that it can be difficult to figure out how best to approach drawing its characters: stay close to Oda's style, or go full in on your own style.

I haven't been drawing much this month, but I finally managed to get something done before the end of the month.

This one is of a #tiefling or #devil aristocrat, looking up at the viewer (I was going to add wings and make another #erinys, but I couldn't make it work with the angle—oh well).

I also had to make a new brush to 'paint' the floor tiles in #procreate. Eventually I'll have put together a proper library for these things.

I'm a former researcher with a PhD in Informatics trying to transition into becoming a #author, wondering about my poor life decisions.
