I switched to Linux a few months ago, I use Linux Mint and even made it a dual boot, but I've literally not had to use windows at all.

Mint was easy to install and has a very friendly and active support forum

It's super similar to Windows, to the point that if you press the windows button on your keyboard and type "excel" it brings up the open office equivalent

Just wired in some wall lamps. I googled a question, about mains electricity, that has high amperage and so could kill me, then realised there was no way I could trust any of the results.

I scrolled through several pages that looked similar but didn't recognise any of the URLs, and clicking a few resulted in paragraphs of meaningless waffle. So I didn't do the thing I was wondering about, to be on the safe side.

I hate how much more shy he got after his eye was removed, he used to be so friendly when people came over but now he's usually very timid

@mxtthxw he doesn't have any vision at all! He had a single eye when I adopted him, with very poor sight, but that deteriorated and had to be removed as well

It's nice to see that the users of my app are noticing that the window title of my fatal error dialog is quoting error messages from Hex, the computer at Unseen University in Ankh-Morpork. 😁

Thankfully, the error is in a pre-release at least. Crashes are not nice.

just massive anxiety trying to get a trades out to quote for fixing the walls and the leaks. they don't show or they just ghost me, not that I can even afford the work that's needed anyway. very tempted to sell up and spend the rest of my days living in a cave earning money by screeching at passers-by
