Sulphur tuft, candlesnuff, and King Alfred’s cakes, all found at Cwmcarn Forest this morning #FungiFriday

Candlesnuff is a thing white fungi without a ‘bulb.’ Some of the tips are two-pronged. They are very small but not as small as others!
King Alfred’s cakes are black and ball-shaped, with no stalk.

I didn’t post about my trip to the big tree zoo (Westonbirt Arboretum) on Friday #treesofmastodon

There’s a bridge you walk across to get from the entrance to the arboretum, and for a while you are at the top of some of the trees. There’s something about looking down on a tree that scares the bejesus out of me like nothing else (well maybe cliff edges 😇). It’s not natural I tell you!!
