Do I want to go to Meeting for Worship ( Meeting) or do I want to take a nap. Both involve resting, getting energy, and tapping inner resources. One will take some effort during (worship) and one will make me feel yucky for a while after (napping). I don't know.

I'm honestly close to bursting into tears going in an infinite loop of trying to get help from the IRS because my 1099 that I need to send to my ONE subcontractor keeps getting rejected. There are NO HUMANS to talk to and none of the voicemail prompts relate to my question. Googling and googling to see if I can find a way to talk to a human. No luck. Try this number? Press this number? I'm sorry please try your call again later. hangs up

    Are there any other prospects besides Biden?

    I don’t think I can stomach it. I’m having fantasies/imagining a solid progressive (verging on “radical” to centrists) who would energize those of us whose stomachs are turned by Biden who would also be palatable for those who are okay with voting for Biden.

    I know my saying, “I don’t think I can get myself to vote for Biden” is going to upset a lot of people who are rightfully afraid of Trump. I’m sorry to upset you.

    It’s all upsetting.

    A while back I found an alternative to that did everything I needed -- invoicing for services (no products or inventory), simple reports, and bank account syncing -- but I can't find it! There seem to be a lot of free or low cost options out there so I thought asking here might help me find the one I was drawn to a few months ago. Suggestions?

    all of a sudden I can't email my parents because is blocking me. I can't remove myself from spamhaus' blocklist because I get an error when I check to see if I'm on their blocklist. UGH.

    2. why bother?
    3. reads post from visually impaired person explaining they can’t enjoy posts w/no alt text.
    4. occasionally adds a few words to the alt text field
    5. sees more advocacy for accessibility (hello mastodon!)
    6. always adds descriptions to images, stops reposting images without alt text
    7. starts reminding other people to add alt text
    8. checks alt text before reposting to make sure that it’s descriptive and not something as basic as “a hat“

    Not sure how to describe it, not quite civil disobedience, not quite protest, but in the early 90s I was in my 20s and a group of us stood in front of an abortion clinic, linking arms, prepared to make a safe path for patients to enter in case there were anti-choice activists giving them grief. It was pretty anticlimactic but that’s a good thing because that meant the patients weren’t hassled.

    My older daughter’s friend (her high school boyfriend) got arrested in a protest for a ceasefire in Gaza. He’s at Brown University and they are demanding that Brown divest from Israel, I believe? Not totally sure. But the picture of his arrest is all over twitter now.
