Is it just Kbin, or does every fediverse service have the issue of being totally swarmed with bots advertising illegal pharmaceuticals? Is this just the result of limited moderation?
I think it’s one particular community on Kbin. I know that if that kind of stuff came into the community that I moderate, it would not last very long because I would murder it.
I use my own domain, so I can do things like Home Depot, At my domain, and Amazon at my domain, and eBay at my domain, etc. So if anybody besides them emails me, I know that it has been misused or lost.
Some websites don’t recognize the plus trick and won’t accept it. And I use my own domain so that if I wish to switch email providers ever again, I don’t have to switch all of my email addresses again. I can just switch my domain to a new provider and all of my emails stay the way they are.
Which is another reason that I don’t use temp emails and use my own domain instead. I have run across that once or twice when using aliases like simple login.
@trees What are y’all’s thoughts on this mass legalization? Don’t get me wrong, I’m verrrryyy pro green. Been a life changer. But I have been seeing things that the big backers for this are the alcohol and tobacco industries. Personally I want them as far away from my green as possible. I don’t like the idea of big business and green. Am I looking at this wrong? I like my mom and pop shop. Sure it’s a bummer when they don’t have what I want but I’ve some of the best shit this way.
I’m quite excited for it, primarily, to help solve the human cost of drug-related violence, etc. If you don’t want the alcohol, businesses, etc. Most of the state laws at least allow some sort of growing at home. So you could always do that.
Do you enjoy our new Internet #cookiepower? I find the whole cookies agreements thing useless. It would be ideal if @firefox could allow a "Accept All COokies" button in the settings and so it automatically answers this question for me. I don't care who has my cookies. I really don't. Honestly.
True, fdroids updates have gotten quite a bit faster though. I remember i used to wait an average of 15 days for an update to an app. That has dropped to around 5 now which is fine by me. Plus unobtanium could use some work to do better with accessibility services like talkback which i need.
