When I have the opportunity, I like to indulge in low-speed #train travel around #Europe accompanied by a Peruvian finger puppet which ruins what would otherwise be perfectly good travel pictures.
@partim A nice man at the station in Hereford suggested they don't like the stop-start nature of the Welsh Marches Line, which is why they can be problematic. Not sure what truth there is in that. ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
Looking at vagonWEB.cz for a possible #Interrail leg from Amsterdam to Berlin I'm noticing a distinct lack of @diningcar. Have I missed something? ๐ค
@jon Both the #Eurostar and #SNCF sites are happy to sell me a through ticket from #Limoges to #London with just 1h39 to change between Austerlitz and Nord. Surely they wouldn't knowingly sell a through-ticket with an impossible connection, would they? ๐ค
I didn't get to have a go on the Transport for #Wales 'Premier Service' during my last trip but I got a peek at one in #Hereford the other day. It's not a @diningcar but it looks as if they do proper food, so it's on a list. #TfW#traintravel
@diningcar Mid-morning wine, the civilised #Eurostar equivalent of the airport breakfast -pint. Falafels with quinoa, kale and feta salad and a tangy hummus, followed by a rich #chocolate obscenity. And wine. Coffee to come. Choo Choo.
@jon@Jordiarrufat That missing connection was one of the things that stopped me doing an #Interrail loop through Tallinn in April. It might be time to get another pass. ๐
Attention #train nerds. My mother presented me with this today thinking I might be able to internet-sleuth something about it. It might be something that belonged to my great grandfather (him of the Kalka-Shimla railway) but the interwebs divulges little.
I've written a piece setting the amazing work by @q3k@redford@mrtick investigating NEWAG's digital sabotage of its Impuls trains in the wider railway context.
