apologies if i missed this commentary, but why is no one talking about at a minimum desktop equivalent safari on ipad?

I still cant sign into my banking app or even use google docs/sheets etc with parody of the mac. At a minimum, that would solve 50% of most peoples ipad needs.

@alexrose That’s mostly the fault of the websites, not the browser. Safari on iPad should be able to do all that stuff, if only the websites would stop rejecting it based on it being on an iPad.

@siracusa Is there an episode of ATP where you talk about your photography workflow when importing / editing photos from your vacations?

I recently bought my first big boy camera and am struggling a bit with where to keep the files (jpeg + raw). Do you keep everything in Apple Photos? Just jpegs? How to you manage moving files between Lightroom and Photos?

@timbueno Yes, but I don’t remember which specific episode. Short version: I shoot RAW+JPEG, import all the JPEGs, choose favorites, then (painfully, manually) import the RAWS for my favorites. It’s pretty cumbersome.

@siracusa @caseyliss Im surprised both of you didn’t seem to realize that it’s an optional mode that can be enabled if you so desire. I desperately need @siracusa to validate my sanity and weigh in on the travesty that is the HDR video rendering of Apple's native TV app when compared to the same HDR / Dolby Vision content viewed on the same device in other popular streaming apps (Disney+, Max, etc.)

@joshuamarino I have not noticed this, but comparisons across apps without ensuring that the media files themselves are identical (they almost certainly aren’t) is not particularly useful.

@joshuamarino PiP is asking the system to display two possibly very different media files simultaneously, so there may be some weirdness there. A TV calibrator with equipment and access to the media files would be needed to make a determination.

@technocidal It’s a better effort than the ID4, but the interior still makes a lot of the same mistakes, and the packaging, performance, and price are just OK.
