I have one point upon which I was simply dead wrong about :

I completely underestimated its potential for watching movies.

You would need tens of thousands of dollars just to remodel your house to get anything close to the scale and image quality you’re seeing here.

The movie theater business is fucked as HMD’s of this pixel density become more common and affordable.

@danilo yeah and in SharePlay you can control the volume of the people independently of the media, so even sitting next to each other with AirPods this is superior to watching a shared TV lol

I finished the FFVII Rebirth demo while in bed last night thanks to the Vision Pro and streaming the game over NDI from my PS5, and it was a sort of religious experience.

Streamed at 4K, giant virtual display in front of me, imperceptible latency.

I could get used to playing everything like this.

@viticci what NDI client did you use? I assume the controlllers were still paired with the ps5? Did you need hardware to get the NDI stream out of the PS5?

Couldn't find an Apple Vision Pro stand, so I threw together a quick 3D printable one over lunch where it can stand vertically and cover the lens 🥽

Printing now to test it, then I'll put it on Thingiverse or something (no I'm not printing it in steel but that would be cool)

New router super fast WiFi! Ethernet 1/3 of what it was. Connect direct, super fast. Linksys 16 port switch apparently hates multi gig

Somehow the switch decided to make up and get along after I ordered a TP-Link 2.5 gbe switch lol. Speeds are back to normal, but now I can bump a bunch of devices to 2.5 and isolate the 1s.

Creating a Flickr account in Safari on was a bad experience. It took a number of hoops to get it to generate a Hide My Email, and then in the password field, iCloud Keychain offered to create a password, but did not fill in the account field. So I had to go back and copy/paste that.

I am using iCloud Keychain because there is no 1Password support and I want to see what the typical user would see.
