Polyterra PLA at 205/65, Ender 3 with Biqu H2 V2S. Models with large bottom surface warp off the (new) textured PEI bed at corners.

Tried, didn't fix:

  • thorough cleaning with dish soap and IPA

  • bed from 60 to 70C

  • plenty of squish

  • 210-215 hotend temp

  • first layer is at 0.7mm width (I use a 0.6 nozzle as default), 20mm/s

  • fan is off for the first layer

  • mouse ears at corners

  • PEO sheet

I don't other issues with adhesion, even small parts.

Any other tips? Thanks!

@fredbrooker hele tiskárnička není vůbec špatná - text a grafika vyloženě super s pěknou černou (lze nastavit), a fotkám to dává celkem pochopitelně jemný dithering, nemám s tím vůbec problém. Za ty love dobrá hračka.

peeps, how would you somehow mark or make a list of clips on the timeline that have some sort of transform (scale), stabilization and/or a specific effect applied?

I have to do a conform in Resolve from graded clips and would like to save some time, not having to check each clip for these adjustments.

Can anyone help with TPU? To get good extrusion on walls, I need to set Extrusion multiplier (aka flow rate) to something ridiculous like 2 (200%), but of course that leads to severe overextrusion on tops and bottoms

1st photo: bottom walls are flow rate 1, middle is 1.3 and the nice top ones are 2. Second photo: bottom layers at FR 2, severe overextrusion and jammed extruder.

Speeds aren't it, I'm getting similar results with anything from 8mm to 30mm.

I can't print TPU properly. It's either foam bullshit or clog city, nothing else. Tried

  • 24 hours of active drying
  • speeds of 10-30mm/s
  • flow rate 1-1.2
  • temps 220-245

Direct drive (Biqu H2 V2s). Fan off. Printing on PP tape.

At my wits' end.

@latenite hey Chris, would it be possible to remove the search term from the FCPX effects pane after adding it through the CommandPost console?

I use Favorites in the console all the time but when I want to browse the effects manually in FCPX, I need to delete the search text every time. It's a small detail but rather annyoing.

More joys of

Out of 367 clips in this timeline (that we have to transfer from Premiere to using SendtoX), 40 files randomly do not relink. Checksums match, no weirdness in file paths.

And that's where you just stop. Nothing you can do 🤷

2024: Anyone any idea why I can't zoom over 100% with cmd+? cmd- does zoom out with no limit, cmd+ stops at 100. I have to use scrollwheel to get past that. WTF

My primary way of getting news? Good old with various reputable sources.

After the departure of Google Reader, I was using Feedly but in light of their AI surveillance efforts I canceled the account and run on my tiny home server.

Client is on iPhone and iPad - a perfect app if there ever was one.

This is not funny anymore.

In the last five days, I had like 15 complete hotend clogs/jams, with THREE DIFFERENT HOTEND TYPES

  • default Ender 3 MK8
  • Biqu H2 V2S
  • all-metal E3D V6 knockoff

Different filaments (ABS, PETG, PLA). Capricorn tube. No excessive dust. Have had like 4 clogs in the entire previous year.

I get that a fake all-metal is a recipe for disaster, but they're ALL clogging like crazy. They were all fully assembled, no room for my error. What the hell is going on?

My work would be impossible without Intelligent Assistance's Sync&Link X. Kinda sad relies upon 3rd parties for "pro" features such as batch multicam sync and AAF export, on the other hand FCPX cost me $299 in 2012 and that's it.

Apple's biggest is absolutely not the mouse charging port at the bottom, but the Power button opposite to the volume buttons on the iPhone. If you are a normal person and embrace the thing you push from the opposite side (which is what nature intended with opposable thumbs), you'll end up with screenshots instead, or missed moments when you use volume as the shutter button. It's absolutely unbelievable.

And anyone with "you're holding it wrong" can fuck right off.

Any good tips for printing TPE (88)? I see a lot of contradictory info - some say heated bed, some say unheated, some say textured PEI is thre worst material to print on but that's the only material I managed to print something at all on (smooth or textured glass is worse). 10-20mm/s, no difference, it just loosens on layer 2, and is generally gummy and disgusting (even dried in dryer!).

Please only direct experience, articles contradict each other.

This is probably the most basic networking question of them all, but:

when I have a server at home (say, a Nextcloud instance) BUT use its "internet" (say, nextcloud.mydomain.com), how is the traffic actually routed? Both the server and the computer I access it are physically next to me, inside my LAN. I tried traceroute, it showed one hop only - my static IP given by the ISP. I'm none the wiser :)
