Pwy yn hedfan mewn hofrennydd coch, sy ddim yn dangos ar FlightRadar? Glaniodd ar helipad newydd yr ysbyty yn gynnar. (Ond doedd ddim yr Ambiwlans Awyr, mae hwnna yn felyn a glas)

Who flies in a red helicopter, which does not show on FlightRadar? It landed on the hospital's new helipad early. (But it wasn't the Air Ambulance, that's yellow and blue)

A1 hi folks, I'm Lexi (she/her) and I continue to make very slow progress on the scarf I'm knitting - largely because I've been so tired and in knee pain so it's not been a priority still. Urgh!

My veggies are coming on though, so that's something. Two of my apple seedlings are doing great too.

Oh. that's coming on nicely!

Does anyone know of a UK supermarket that sells little individual ice cream tubs? The sort you used to be able to get in packs of 10. Mum in Law used to like having them, but we can't find them anywhere now. I know it's excess packaging, but it was so convenient for her. A big tub is hard to scoop out of, and ends up getting harder and harder.

suearcher,
@suearcher@toot.wales avatar

@eclectech

Yes, pricey, and also I think the flavours are more elaborate than she wants.

I really fancy some now though.

suearcher,
@suearcher@toot.wales avatar

@eclectech

Yes, we can decant for her if necessary, it's just a shame if she can't get the thing she used to have regularly. And so odd that they have just disappeared from the shops like this!

Scooping her own is harder for her, as one hand doesn't work very well.

This popped up on my Youtube yesterday, and I found it interesting, not because I didn't know the stuff, but because it implies that there are people who don't realise you can sew with such a basic kit. I see it at , when people assume I'll be using a sewing machine, and are amazed that I do all my repairs by hand.

Like, we've been sewing for thousands of years, and had machines for just under a couple of hundred.

The adventure this afternoon went a little awry.

Essentially, it was to deliver Best Beloved to the local ophthalmology hospital for a regular checkup. Easy. We’ve managed to get to the car twice in the past week.

An unscheduled sit-down occurred right outside the front door. Recovering from that, we couldn’t find ANYWHERE to park at the hospital.

We came home. The hospital will be rescheduling. I’m letting the passenger transport folk deal with Best Beloved next time.

Ack.

suearcher,
@suearcher@toot.wales avatar

@snaptophobic

Oh dear! I hope Best Beloved is ok? And of course, that you are too.

A1 Hi, I'm Lexi (she/her) and I delivered the hat I knitted to my stepdad, the scarf is still a work in progress.
Minimal making happening now because I'm in so much pain with my knee unfortunately.

After two nights on the new mattress I feel like I’d have been better kipping on the floor: it’s probably softer!

So, a mattress topper (and a summer duvet while we’re at it) has now been ordered. Hopefully, that will make the bed softer, which will help my back problem.

Who knew beds could be this complicated!

suearcher,
@suearcher@toot.wales avatar

@snaptophobic

When you think that gorillas sleep in nests in trees, and cats can sleep dangling over the edge of a chair, we humans really are badly designed when a slightly too hard mattress can throw us off kilter!

I’ve tried to do some wilderness clearance (our back yard). The goosegrass was getting a bit rampant, and I felt the nettle patch didn’t need to be quite so large.

Anyway, guess who tripped over their own feet and ended up in the nettle patch?

There’s a good reason I’m not a keen gardener.

Happily, no bones broken, and some ointment liberally applied to my back to stop the nettle rash! Now safely back on familiar ground, the sofa.
