70 hours in, I am starting to wonder if the title of this game is a gag, and the end — at 200 hours or so of play — is going to be one of the characters cresting a hill, looking out over the cityscape from the main menu, and saying, “there it is: Baldur’s Gate”, smash cut to black, roll credits. Look for the sequel DLC, “Baldur’s Gate 3 2: Actually Baldur’s Gate” in 2029, with 7000 more hours of voiced dialogue.

I really wish that Apple Numbers's view of spreadsheets would catch on in more places — specifically, the idea that when you start a spreadsheet document, you can make a bunch of small tables that each represent homogenous data of a particular type, then link them together via references by, like, clicking on a thing you see, rather than the obtuse way that almost every other spreadsheet makes you repurpose the cell grid for visual layout.

Well the new university BYO device policy just kicked in so I can’t check my work email on my phone any more unless I give the university the ability to remote wipe it. So yeah, I’m not going to do that. And they won’t even let us use webmail. 🤯

I'm so confused by the boiler setup in this house (we didn't set it up). My visiting parents aren't getting hot showers in the evening, and I can't for the life of me work out why. To make matters more confusing we have an eddi which diverts solar energy to the immersion heater (but also indirect boiler heated?) tank. I can't work out how the boiler decides when to heat the cylinder (and whether it's the hot water or central heating system that does it).
