When I was killing time yesterday waiting for my phone stuff to get switched over, I walked to a BBQ place I saw on the map but decided against it as soon as I saw their choice of window decor... They also had a window (it was a pretty big place) with the phrase "Jesus is the reason for the season" in July, which, lol.

Everything on social media feels like a hornet's nest today. I need to hurry up and finish cutting these kabobs for tomorrow's birthday BBQ and play more far cry 5 with Matthew, a game that could have been searing political commentary but instead chickened out for the radical message that "murder cult bad," lol.

I have screenshots of comment exchanges from YouTube and such that I want to post here, but I don't because I know I'd be expected to type it all out as alt text (since most apps don't let you copy paste comments or descriptions) and I don't have the time or thumb flexibility to do that on my phone, lol. Sure wish AI would be improved to accurately detect text before it gets used to put real live artists out of work.

ok... i think i backed my phone up about as much as i can. I'm going to carefully take it to tmobile to get a new phone and pray that the screen stays useable until I can get there (I'm holding it like a faberge egg...)

It's been depressing how many allegedly accounts I've followed for years have clearly been bought out by to hype up - this is why we can't have nice things...no matter your moral convictions, very few are willing to give up big pay checks to shill crap, especially data harvesting crap.

@schizanon I would only want an algorithm with a lot of caveats (like required hashtags for sponsored posts I can filter out, etc) but I would love some kind of "add extra importance to these accounts so their messages show up first" thing. I tend to followback anyone who follows me (and doesnt have a blank or offensive account) but there are some people who post a LOT and I'd prefer to have rarer posters show up first 😅

whelp. My phone screen has COMPLETELY stopped working, and the kids' party is in two days, meaning parents will be texting me to confirm that it's still happening and what our address is (I kept it TBA until we would know how many people RSVPed) and I won't be able to respond to them even if I go to Tmobile to get a new phone today because all these fucking cell companies started requiring you to mail order any new phones, which lol ok so there's absolutely no reason to not just go to a different site and get it cheaper then... (:

And all these recovery methods I'm searching for of course require you to download a third party app on your phone AHEAD of time. Miraculously I'm able to get it to connect to my pc (even that rarely works) so I'm saving off my photos and videos now, which luckily I had already backed up before I left for Vidcon at the end of june anyway, but I have all my two factor authentication on my phone and I have no idea how I'm going to be able to switch that to the new phone if I can't access the screen.

PEOPLE SHATTER THEIR PHONE SCREENS ALL THE TIME...this is the first I've ever had so much as a crack, so of course it goes all the way. I was using it fine last night then all of a sudden it decided to go white and green and unusable, though I can still feel haptic feedback as if it recognizes me trying to put in my passcode? It's so frustrating and worst thing like I said is not being able to tell people about the party location because I had all the RSVPs set to my phone because my husband never answers his TT_TT

Aeden is currently screaming and throwing things because he went alone into the garage and found a couple of splintery rods that he was using as swords to hit Link with RIGHT next to the TV (which we had to replace last year when he decided to deliberately bash the old TV with a toy).

I also have computer work I could do, but again, no AC, and my computer is a beast that puts out more heat than an actual space heater 😩😩😩
