Defitime to change my default search engine. Any suggestions? Bing is doing the same shit, and I haven’t found its results to be much better than Googles. DDG is just bing results through a proxy. Kagi’s owner is also enamored with wasteful computing, so I’m not motivated to give them any money.

Our local Chik-fil-a just built a roof over their drivethru so that the staff aren’t in the sun and rain. I assume they’re gonna put solar on it, as well.

My original birth certificate listed two first names, because my mother liked one name and my father liked another.

Everyone called me by my mom’s preference until I was 4yo, when I decided I liked the other name better and insisted everyone used it. My mom was disappointed, but accepted it.

When I transitioned and changed my name again, she refused to use it. It took six years before I heard my name from my mother’s lips, and even still she avoids it.

Feeling ill this morning, so we got McDonalds delivered, which they run through ubereats.

I have never had an ubereats delivery go correctly, and this was no exception. Guy arrives with the food and just stands there at my door. Didn’t ring the bell, didn’t follow the directions to leave it there and go. He texted me that he was there and I had to tell him to leave it behind.

Do they just do a shit job training these people, or is the app fundamentally broken at giving drivers instructions?
