Seems like a nice place to go sightseeing. I love how London has both 14th century architecture and one of more well known examples of Brutalist architecture just right near to each other like that.

Yesterday I was looking for some information about HRT leading up to surgery and DuckDuckGo had a link to a Reddit comment that no longer existed.

And I think that’s when it really hit me how much this Reddit shit impacts me and other trans people. There is so much information about HRT, and GRS, and understudied phenomena that only exists in comments on Reddit. Life saving information. Invaluable medical information.

And some corporate assholes can just fuck with that on a whim.

@danirabbit I fully disagree with moderators PERMANENTLY taking down vital information. People's livelihoods depend on information on these sites. Lock posting new info and direct people to open communities that don't restrict information.

Change should be from the bottom up and not from the top down.

@pheen I never saw how a service like Reddit should look to advertisers as way to self sustain itself. Wikipedia has paved the way for a community sustained crowdsourced model.

@ch1cken @dairokkan I think it's still worth keeping an eye on this, I use Matrix and love it but I can also see how more options that are open source being a good thing for the ecosystem as a whole. Revolt is actively being developed and I think it's still very much open to features like bridges to other services. All it takes is one developer implementing the Matrix protocol to come along and fix most the problems you have with Revolt.
