TFW your spouse's iMac has 20Mb(!) free out of 2Tb because they tried to use Adobe Cloud for something and now all attempts to reboot keep hanging (filesystem is okay, though) so the next step is to try for Target Disk mode and a cable to a laptop in order to delete cached junk and logfiles until it will boot enough for them to clean up properly …

UNIXen have never been great about coping with full disks/SSDs, but this is a new nadir, and fuck you very much, Adobe Creative Suite.

So my just catastrophically self-destructed. I was using arch with the yubikey full-disk encryption package, when the machine hung and crashed during a system update. The machine crashed exactly after the old initramfs files were cleaned up, and before the new ones were written to disk. Since the yubkikey fde thing stores the seed ("challenge") for the luks key in the initramfs, all copies of the seed are gone now, and the data on that disk is unrecoverable.

Dies ist der Kilometerstand des Renault. Der hat irgendwann am 14-04 aufgehört, die Daten zu senden.

Warum hat er das getan?

Stellt sich raus, sobald man das HASS-Image im Docker auf den aktuellen Stand bringt geht alles wieder. Da ist irgendein API-Key drin, der regelmäßig expired, weil Renault Anwendungen von Drittanbietern nur so mittel gut findet.

Ooooh waking up to happy news is great: Voyager 1 is sending usable data again!

Super cool – the whole chip responsible for data encoding was a goner, so they separated the code sections out into other free memory. (22.5h is hell of an input lag.)

After a very windy afternoon Puget Sound Energy is now tracking 140 separate outages across the region affecting roughly 22.1K buildings.

Lab is operating on generator power and some equipment shut down when a loose UPS EBM cable resulted in running out of battery before the generator started.

So much for a nice relaxing weekend. Guess it's an excuse to do some hardware maintenance I had been putting off trying to avoid downtime.

@RichiH @lindworm Ja, die Regelung ist analog § 34 StGB und damit restriktiv anzuwenden. Siehe I ZR 123/13 (BGH).

Ansonsten gibt es immer noch die Möglichkeit das fernmündlich zu machen, aka § 4 AMVV.

OK I just opened the new APT output format merge request. I'm attaching the current state side-by-side comparison in a picture (and yes I typoed git into the wrong tab)

You can see that apt-get(8) maintains its retro interface, the test suite is happy about that (it literally is validating the apt output).
