Given the huge success that the first installment ended up being, we can't forget that Cities: Skylines 2 is just around the corner and is, in its own right,
Man this is terrible. These works aren't "overrated", they stood the rest of time for a reason, and will continue to be influential for decades or centuries to come. The fact they are still relevant is proof enough.
Also anyone that discounts Lolita or Huck Finn for promoting pedophilia and racism respectively, has the reading comprehension of a wet sock, and nobody should take them seriously.
And we can read classics for fun too, it doesn't have to be one of the other. I've read 5 of these "overrated" books, all on my own time, and enjoyed all of them. 2 of which became two of my favorite books of all time.
I mean they have a point though. We don't have a progressive party in the US. We have a status quo party (which is usually the conservative party) and we have a far right party.
How approachable is Dubliners? I read some fairly dense stuff but I've always avoided Joyce (and most modernist stuff like Woolf, Proust, etc) because it's intimidating.
I really feel for you guys. ISU fan that really vibed with you guys at the Alamo Bowl, and just generally likes your program. I also thought were going to get left in the wilderness a few years back when the Big XII almost imploded. This all really sucks and I wish the Big XII would give you guys a life raft.
I'll be honest, I don't really get why the fans of leaving teams support this. Sure your school will have more money but how does that affect you as a fan? You're going to be competing for less conference championships, less playoffs, less Natties, almost guaranteed. All while travelling further and playing schools with less history and breaking your rivalries. I don't get the upside of these kind of moves for the fans.
Literally nothing but woe for almost every team that has switched from a P5 conference to another p5 conference. Mizzou, Nebraska, A&M, CU, Maryland, etc. All doing worse than expectations and seemingly broke 100 years of history for like, no reason (other than the boatloads of cash that is leading to absolutely no athletic success they couldn't achieve prior)
Definitely the biggest domino left to fall right now. Big XII might cool down on ASU/UU if they think they have a shot at ACC scraps. I'd personally want VT/Pitt/UL and a 4th team. That last team could be GT/Miami/NCst depending on who is available.

Interesting look at the Minneapolis / St. Paul area from an urban planning and transit standpoint. It mostly focuses on Minneapolis and talks about the good and bad about how the city runs
Really insightful video. I really wish downtown Minneapolis would get rid of the one way system. We've known for decades that one way systems kill downtowns and it's completely moronic we've kept it for this long despite all the evidence that it's harmful. Changing this, and converting more office space to residential could make the downtown a thriving place.
I'm not terribly surprised, as the Big 10 wants that Stan/Cal research money, and will be able to get all 4 schools with reduced payouts. However I wonder what this means for FSU and the ACC? This almost surely means the Big 12 will take 4 corners schools, but are they willing to add more if the ACC crumbles and Pitt, NCST, GT, VT, UL, etc are on the table?
I think this is my favorite part: "The affidavit alleges Dekkers was under 21, the legal betting age in Iowa, when most of the bets were placed, but disguised his identity with the help of his parents, Scott and Jami Dekkers."
“Huckleberry Finn,” a book written by Mark Twain, is a famous American story. But, some schools in the U.S. don’t let students read it. Even though it is an important book, some people don’t like how it talks about race and uses bad language. It has now a censored version, too.
Check out Blackshirts and Reds, by Michael Parenti. It's an amazing book about the history of the relationship/battle between fascism and communism in the world over the 20th century (spoiler alert, fascism won).
