Darknet Drug Dealers Arrested After Packages of Meth-Laced Adderall Repeatedly Returned to Sender (www.404media.co)

Police arrested three men accused of selling thousands of pills of meth-laced “Adderall” on various darknet marketplaces and mailing them through the United States Postal Service through a fictitious business called “Professional Paper Filing Inc.” that listed a real return address of an uninvolved business. That...

That's why you use a fake return address that doesn't exist. Allowing your product to get into real people's hands was just asking for trouble.

That's wild, this 2 year old video just randomly showed up in my YouTube feed the other day. Kinda interesting to see how the algorithm just seems to randomly pick a video to start recommending to people.

Either way, glad this guy's story is getting to be seen by more people!

Spot-on. I knew what this was before I clicked it.

The poll was improperly conducted and way too short for users to adequately find in time. This announcement is the first I'm hearing about this discussion or poll at all.

I think this might be jumping the gun. Also, it's poor form, imo, to change the focus of a community after it's been established. It would make more sense to create /c/lemmyfossapps or something similar. Taking a broadly-focused community and narrowing it down after people have already joined feels wrong.

Those are my two cents, since I never got a chance to respond to the poll, which allegedly already had a pretty narrow margin.

This will happen as long as people keep treating crypto as an investment instead of what it was actually designed to be; a currency.

Because it's a live service game and has GMs who adjust in-game events in real time. Everybody is playing in the same world, which requires everyone on one server. The world and story adjust based on what all players accomplish.

I generally use the body text field for a snippet of the page I'm linking to, usually a paragraph or two that I felt were important takeaways from the article (so that people who generally only skim headlines may still see something useful from the article).

If I'm linking to an article, I personally don't like putting my own opinion in the OP, itself. I'd rather it be a top-level comment, instead, as it feels like grandstanding on somebody else's work when it's in the OP body.

OPs always have the worst takes.

Except you, you seem alright, OP.

I think you've mistaken Putin's motive. It takes 2 weeks for the body to dissolve in their special sauce.

Ironically, this is also the pro-life crowd, too. Weird how they don't care about the lives of children.

Edit: Within 28 mins I’ve got -9 votes and nothing to answer. Think it proves my point.

The fact that you think there is a "point" to be made when you're supposed to be the one asking a question and trying to learn, shows us that you had ill intent from the start. You told on yourself with this one.

What's the situation with the DRM? I've not heard much of this, but a quick search shows that it's causing a lot of crashes, which isn't super uncommon for a newly-released game.

Around the house, I use these super cheap stretch bands I found on Amazon from one of those random Chinese sellers that changes names every week. It was $10 for a pack of 3. I didn't expect them to be decent quality, but I've been pleasantly surprised that none of them have broken or rattle or anything even after about a year of use.

Whenever I go out or work out, I put on the stock silicone strap. I'd like to pick up some more at some point; the quick-release mechanism is really well-done and makes changing bands on the fly super fast and easy, and I'd love to have more options for different scenarios. I just wish the official bands weren't so pricey.

It was always AI, what are you talking about?

George Santos sues late-night host Jimmy Kimmel for tricking him into making videos to ridicule him (apnews.com)

Former U.S. Rep. George Santos alleged in a lawsuit filed Saturday that late-night host Jimmy Kimmel deceived him into making videos on the Cameo app that were used to ridicule the disgraced New York Republican on the show....

At least it's just George Santos, nothing to worry about.

Good thing Kimmel didn't piss off that Devolder guy, though. I hear he's an excellent lawyer for the MIT rowing team.

Sex is what's in your crotch, gender is what's in your brain. For some people, these two align. For others, they do not.

That's it. That's the explanation.

It's copyright infringement to do so. No need getting the Beehaw admins in trouble; Google paywall bypassing tools and read away.

Probably just for the poetic justice of seizing money from Russia and giving it to Ukraine.

Why ask questions that are answered by the video you're commenting on?

kbin.social is pretty neutral, in my experience. There's communities here for both the left and the right. There's naturally going to be some clash in the comments from time to time, but it goes both ways fairly equally, from what I've seen.

That said, regardless of what instance you go with, your experience is going to be dictated largely by what communities you end up subscribing to.

Besides solid access to content piracy is also about a message, a statement about sovereignty, rights and freedoms and paying for it means the complete subversion of the ideal.

Bruh, it's just stealing movies. You're not taking down The Man with your sick seed ratios. This line of thinking is how people become radicalized lmao

Huge concurrent player counts like this are pretty significant milestones that not every game hits. The popularity of this game, which seems to me like it had hardly any marketing campaign behind it, is pretty noteworthy.

Are there any genuine benefits to AI?

I can see some minor benefits - I use it for the odd bit of mundane writing and some of the image creation stuff is interesting, and I knew that a lot of people use it for coding etc - but mostly it seems to be about making more cash for corporations and stuffing the internet with bots and fake content. Am I missing something...

I think implying that it has a bias is giving the Advanced Auto Prediction Engine a bit too much credit.

I’m glad Project L is going to dethrone every single one of these games.

Yeah, Riot would never add MTX to their games, right?
