TL;DR: Apple’s upcoming iOS 18, macOS 15, watchOS 11, and tvOS 18 updates are expected to be “ambitious and compelling,” featuring generative AI improvements, especially in Siri. The revamped Siri may offer enhanced integration with Messages, auto-generated Apple Music playlists, and productivity app integration. Apple is...
Isn’t this how it already works? I’ve had watch history off for a few years now and the only thing that influences my recommendations are new subscriptions; which I’m totally fine with. (I don’t thumbs up videos)
I might not want to watch everything on my home page but it’s very spot on for me.
On the opposite end: I recently was looking for a good quality belt and avoided Amazon. Found one the met all of my needs and wants after a bunch of searching. It was ok clearance and so returns were explicitly not allowed. I was nervous about the sizing but I figured I’d take a chance.
When it arrived it was in Amazon packaging.
Turns out they have an Amazon storefront. The belt was also available at the clearance price on there and returns were accepted which meant I could have ordered 2 sizes and keept the one that fit better.
Oh well. The way I see it: the belt was the right size and Amazon didn’t get a cut of the purchase.
Granted I’m not someone who uses AI assistants a lot, but I’ve never seen anyone use any other voices than the default one (Red). There are 10 voices for Google Assistant, apparently. Do you or someone you know use them?
My girlfriend has threatened to break up with me several times now unless I cut down to a pack a week. I’m not addicted but it does help me get through my day. I keep trying to tell her that but she doesn’t believe me and keeps saying that it’s actually bad. I want to prove to my girlfriend that smoking cigarettes is...
If there’s a digital clock in view I’ll usually glance at that because my hands are busy. I frequently check the clock on my computer at work despite my phone being on the charging pad just below it and my smart watch on my wrist. At home I have a digital time read out on my microwave and a smart display showing digital time on my night stand. The only time I look at them is in the morning because I barely leave the house on time and my hands are occupied in both rooms when I need to check my pace.
Well, basically the title. I love trying out new apps across the whole ecosystem, but searching for them in the App store is not fun, and a bunch of apps I have used I found by accident in some posts or comments on the web....
I just graduated optometry school and I feel like I’ve lost a bit of my identity. I didn’t have much free time to focus on the things that make me happy and now I’m lacking inspiration. I can’t work until my license is approved so I’ve had days of doing nothing since May 7. It’s been great but it’s starting to get...
I jump from thing to thing but right now I’ve been playing a bunch of old favorites on a handheld emulator I got last week. Playing a fan made version of Pokémon right now.
The issue is that multiple Disney subreddits have, uh, issues with those mods (which has been the case for years to the point where explaining the history is part of onboarding for a lot of Disney mods).
Coming from reddit of course, I cannot figure out how to get to some of the communities I followed there. Either they don't exist or I'm doing something wrong. Like I frequent r/android and r/SquaredCircle, r/movies, r/gaming, r/fossdroid just to name a few. Is there something similar here? Thank you!!
OP is basically pointing out how forums used to run. Generally geared to a theme or topic but includes spaces to discuss other things with like minded people on the same site. I’ve really missed that more and more over the last few years.
The closest Reddit could to is either have adjacent subs or reoccurring automatically generated threads.
It’s not the same thing as Apollo but if you have an iPhone with the Dynamic Island I think he has a pixel pal app using the concept that he had in Apollo as a feature.
