I celebrated my 5th anniversary of being vegan yesterday. I didn’t originally start doing it for climate reasons, but I know the meat and dairy industries are huge sources of pollution so I’m glad I’m on it.
It seems like over the last year or so, Amazon has made the calculation that they can save 10 cents on not packing things properly, and only 0.1% of customers will be bothered enough to return the item*....
I haven't played or run it; however, I've been watching videos on it and reading the free quickstart.
After more reflection, I probably won't be using it. It's very much in the OSR vein, and I am finding I'm getting tired of the medieval fantasy tropes. I'm mostly looking into Vampire: The Masquerade 5th edition right now.
I've had this same thought, OP. Lately I've been extra thankful for fresh fruits and veggies, because I'm sure a lot of crops are going to have a hard time going forward -- already have in some cases.
Years of mindfulness meditation have helped counteract this for me. In fact, I’ve had experiences as an adult that have eclipsed my younger years - strong euphoric ones, often in nature. Sometimes the feeling is so strong it’s almost unbearably joyful and full of wonder. But I do get your point. Certainly I have fewer novel experiences as 40-something than I used to and I have to make a concerted effort to see with fresh eyes.

As someone who has worked for numerous chaotic software companies over the years and had a couple rounds of burnout:
You can try the quiet quitting thing, combined with things like meditation and distancing yourself from outcomes (e.g. stoic thinking around realizing what you control and don’t control). That might keep you going for a while.
But I’ve personally found that ultimately there is no substitute for quitting a toxic job and taking real time off (at least 3 weeks). Your body and mind have experienced trauma and need rest.
