Hi folks! Picked up Pillars of Eternity and am planning to play through it on my Steam Deck during a recovery period in hospital. This is my first CRPG style game, and I am pretty new when it comes to fantasy settings as I have typically been more into Sci-Fi and shooters....

AMD is announcing the Ryzen 5 5600X3D -- except the launch is being handled entirely by Microcenter, including distribution of news, press releases, review samples, and handling of the product. Right now, I’m playing the early access version of Baldurs Gate 3. I’m getting ready to put it down (frustrated: BG3 has the potential to be good, but without controller support, I’m getting really frustrated with the UI. ) and switch to Yakuza Like a Dragon....
Both were down for me before, they seem to be up right now but just made this account on Lemmy.blahaj.zone (Henry is the name of my actual blahaj lol). AAA games are just getting stale for me and I'm looking to mix it up a bit. I really don't have a specific genre I gravitate toward or steer away from. I like trying new stuff and I'm happy to consider anything you enjoy playing!
First all the bs with Twitter and Elon, then Reddit having an exodus to Lemmy (not complaining lol), then Twitch. Are we like, in an alternate self healing dimension or something?
Sad to hear you don’t enjoy it. Personally I am having a blast with it. I love its much darker gothic look than D3 (which was very cartoony). The music is just amazing good. And the map is ridiculous big (I guess bigger than all 3 previous games put together). Technically the game is also extremely well polished. Didn’t encounter a single technical issue so far (playing on PS5). The only complaint I have is that they enforce an permanent internet connection (even if I see the reason why - it’s kinda a MMO). I almost feel put back into my youth (yea I am old), where I spend hundreds of hours with my friends in our garage to play D1 in multiplayer mode.
