The hostility is entirely unnecessary. If you eat out and don't tip, the only person you're hurting is the person you claim to want to help. If you can't tip, eat at home. If you can, then do so while still fighting for better workers rights. It's really not a difficult concept to grasp.
I had so many people try to get me into Mushoku Tensei and dropped that shit like a red hot iron when I saw some of the shit that show pulled. People try to play it off, saying "oh it's just part of the MC's arc" when any level of media literacy can tell you it's just pedo bait (it's either played off for comedy, or results in MC being directly rewarded for it). "But the animation and world building are so good!" Y'know what else has good world building and animation? So many things that don't reward the MC for sexually abusing literal children.
Is there a word that means “a hatred of gay people”, rather than “a fear of or aversion to gay people”? Surely there are people who simply hate homosexuality without necessarily fearing it, and vice versa. Someone who hates homosexuality should probably be condemned for their unreasonable and hateful prejudices, but...
It's worth mentioning that, while "phobia" can mean "an irrational fear of," it also often means "an irrational intolerance of," such as in the case of homophobia. It's not a fear, it's an intolerance.
Interesting how you neglected to bring up all of the straight, white, male, conservative, cisgender mass shooters that outweigh LGBT/BLM shooters by several orders of magnitude. Acting like the issue doesn't skew drastically in one direction is disingenuous at best.
Twitter has threatened to sue Meta Platforms over its new Threads platform, Semafor reported on Thursday, citing a letter sent to the Facebook parent's CEO Mark Zuckerberg by Twitter's lawyer Alex Spiro.
Maybe we shouldn't call people "lame-ass wannabees" just because they play a game differently? Like, I understand it's just a meme, but people should be able to play any game however they please, y'know?
kbin definitely feels more... idk polished? compared to Lemmy. Lemmy feels like a proof of concept, while kbin feels like effort was actually put into it's UI. I bounce between both, but I certainly prefer kbin.
So hopefully I'm doing this right! :) (I'm still new to some of this so haven't figured out things yet! I did ask this via Mastodon also, but wanted to add more detail to my answer!)...
FMA 03 is so underrated, everyone just jumps to Brotherhood. I rewatched 03 for the first time recently with a friend and there really are some things it just does better.
I know a guy who, every day, eats an entire 4 cheese DiGiorno pizza. That's all he eats. One pizza a day, every day. I don't know how he doesn't get sick of it, but more power to him I suppose.

If it's any consolation, it's Massive working on development. The Division games are both pretty good (with the exception of the constant crashing some people, myself included, experience in 2). They're also not your typical Ubi generic open-world schtick. If this ends up playing anything like the Division games, I think it could be really good.
Pray we don't update it further ... (lemmy.world)

Ok, as a user on lemmy.ml, I'm pretty sure none, or close to, of my posts and comments are being federated.
I've been monitoring, checking whether my posts or comments appear on external instances, including mastodon, and it doesn't seem to be happening....
People who dictate what others can and can't put on their hot dog probably peaked in high school.
Or grew up in Naperville.
Is there a computer game, or a specific moment, a fight etc that you wish you could do fresh with no prior memory of it?

OC I do D&D character portraits! Here's an older one I still quite like.
What are some of your favorite Anime to re-watch?
I've been re-watching Hunter x Hunter lately. It has been really fun. What are some of the anime you keep going back to?
It'd be cool if I could just eat nothing but pizza everyday
I fucking love pizza. It's my favorite food.
