Ugh.... I hadn't thought about this specific aspect of Barr's tenure as AG for a while. If you read the Mueller report, it was scathingly bad for Trump, and the parts that were redacted were almost categorically things that would appear to have been bad for Trump, based on contextual clues. Mueller should've been more forward with the findings of his report so the Republicans didn't get their chance to sweep it under the rug like they did.
In the old days, official reddit announcement posts were a little different. Spuds, or another high-level admin would reply to a comment. Dozens of users would then reply with something like “When are you going to ban r/the_donald.” The threads were massive and quickly became unwieldy, but they seemed organic....
I say for anyone who is still frequently using Reddit at this point, let's post friendly replies to try and lure responses from the admins on these threads, then after they respond, change your question to something that makes their response look like something an asshole would say.
Since Day One (spez’ fuckup) I have been trying to use and like lemmy but it just doesn’t work right at all. Like as in never did. Communities disappear randomly, posts don’t load, submissions have no comments, you name it. At this point I am considering going back to reddit just like everyone else I know that used to care...
Still using Kbin via web browser on desktop and mobile; with Kbin Enhancement Suite. Aside from some availability issues early in the migration, it's been very stable.
Digital Rights Management. Usually DRM agreements are imbedded in the terms and conditions no one reads when they install software. It usually gives the software vendor the right to monitor your use of the software in real time via the internet.
Within the context of Chrome and other Chromium based web browsers, this means that Google will be able to monitor your web browsing in a new way any time you're using a browser based on Chrome/Chromium.
It absolutely is a good thing when security is concerned. WiFi is easy to snoop even if you're not physically in the room, if you know what you're doing. Sure there are encryption standards that are very good to tamp down on this. However, what's even better with LiFi is you must be physically in the room to intercept any transmissions that are being sent.
This is by design one of the largest advantages to LiFi. There are other practical uses as well, but it's not like LiFi is designed to explicitly replace WiFi.
Thank you for asking. There's nothing is wrong with it, generally speaking. But it is not an academic or peer reviewed source. It has many editorialized articles.
I generally like the content they produce at least a little bit, but it's not science.

I feel like lemmy is actually really amazing and has a lot of smart discussion happening instead of the constant circlejerking that happens on Reddit. I also feel the community here is a lot more hopeful/helpful! That’s all, thanks for reading 😄
Yes! I never know how to feel about being prompted for a tip when I get carry out. Normally the tip is for table or delivery service. I don't think I should be obligated to compensate someone's wage for running my credit card and handing me a bag.
It is is 100% the case that establishments know customers will feel obligated to tip in any scenario they are prompted.
Hell, how do I even know that such a tip goes to the service staff who are paid less than minimum wage?
I have high expectations for Creation Engine 2. Bethesda got a lot out of the original. I have no doubt that they've taken their time with Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6 just to make sure this engine is ready for them.
As hyped as I am for Starfield, I can't help but think that it's basically a massive scale beta test for Elder Scrolls 6, just to make sure all the kinks are worked out before they release the successor to Skyrim.

I love making efficient systems and the freedom to do things the way I want to, such as by using the game's alternate recipe system.
The exploration and movement systems in the game are also to notch. It's not quite Titanfall, but I struggle to think of any other game where simply moving around is so fun. That's on top of how pretty the actual environment is to explore.

Official Reddit announcement posts now follow a well-defined archetype. The latest accessibility announcement is just the latest example.
